Minimum Age: 6 years. For safety and comfort, we cannot accommodate children under 6.

You will receive your specific pickup time by email at least 2–3 days prior to your tour date. Please make sure to check for this email, as your pickup time will depend on your selected location.

Our tours proceed rain, shine, or snow (yes, even in the summer!). However, in extreme weather conditions, we prioritize your safety and comfort—so we’ll either reschedule your tour or offer a refund.

Watching the sunrise at Moraine Lake is chilly! Dress in layers to stay warm and ready for unpredictable mountain weather.

In order to participate all adults must sign a waiver prior to the tour. A waiver must also be completed by the parent or guardian of any child under the age of 18. Failure to complete the waiver will result in the cancellation of your tour.

No-shows, missed departures, or unused services are non-refundable.

We require at least 6 guests for the tour to proceed. If we don’t reach this minimum number, we will offer you options to reschedule or receive a full refund.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Departing from Canmore or Banff, your adventure kicks off with a convenient pickup, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. As you travel toward the tranquil waters of Moraine Lake, your tour guide will bring the region to life, sharing captivating stories about the wildlife, ecology, and history that shape these awe-inspiring landscapes. With each passing mile, you’ll feel more connected to this stunning corner of the world, surrounded by mountains, lakes, and the timeless beauty of nature. Arriving at least 45 minutes before the sunrise, you’ll have the rare opportunity to experience Moraine Lake in peaceful solitude, long before the crowds arrive.

As you step off the vehicle, you’ll be welcomed with the warmth of a hot beverage in your hands and a thoughtfully prepared bag that includes a headlamp, blanket, and sit pad, ensuring you’re comfortable and cozy as you settle in to watch the first light break over the lake. Once everyone is ready, your guide will lead the way to the Rockpile, offering local insights into the best spots for photography or simply taking in the stunning surroundings. Wrapped in your blanket, with the crisp morning air around you, you’ll feel the magic of the moment as the tranquil beauty of the lake unfolds before your eyes. You’ll have 2 hours of free time to explore, relax, or take photos at your own pace. Feel free to leave your belongings securely in the vehicle—your driver will be there, waiting at the van, ready to continue the next chapter of your adventure when it’s time to move on.

Nick was our guide for our sunrise expedition and was very knowledgeable and friendly about the entire area! The timing was great to be able to set up for photos to catch the changing colors as the sun crept over the tops of the mountains!

This was a fabulous trip. The tour guide, Joel, was why this was a 5-star tour. Joel was very informative about the area. He also told mesmerizing stories. This made the trip to the lakes and the return seem super fast. He took pictures for us and was extremely helpful to all guests. Highly recommend this tour. Thanks, Joel!

The sunrise walk was amazing. Our guide, Nick, was fantastic and so knowledgeable. It felt like a religious experience in that although people were there, it was so quiet. This was hands down one of the most magical experiences of our trip! Waking up before dawn was absolutely worth it — we were guided to the perfect viewpoint just in time to watch the sun rise over the Rockies. The colors, the quiet, the peace — truly breathtaking. Our guide from Into the Wild made the experience even better. So friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about nature — she made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe.
