Kriss is an excellent local guide, and the trip with him was a truly memorable experience. The whole hike lasted around 11 hours, and everything from pickup to drop-off went smoothly — exactly as described. The atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking, making it an ideal adventure for anyone seeking an extraordinary experience.

I had an excellent experience with Dekwar Agung Sunrise Trekking for my daytime speed ascent of Mt Agung via the Edelweiss route. They responded quickly on WhatsApp and paired me with local trail runner Krissna, who was outstanding. The route is steep and technical (1,893 m elevation gain, ~26% average grade), with varied terrain including gravel, mud, wet wood, and loose scree. The descent is particularly challenging and slippery — I slipped several times despite careful pacing — but Krissna’s expert guidance kept everything safe and efficient. This is a demanding trail best suited for experienced hikers. The company made the whole process smooth, professional, and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable guide on Mt Agung. Full stats: 14.34 km round-trip, 5:00:55 moving time, ascent in 2:34:14.

Budi is an excellent guide. He took great care of me throughout the journey—highly professional, incredibly supportive, and attentive. He even carried my things, taught me hiking techniques, and helped me find my own rhythm on the trail. Beyond that, he was warm and thoughtful—making coffee and lighting a fire along the way. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

Climbed Mt Agung from Besakih on 2026-03-24. All the logistics were flawlessly coordinated by Dekwah, from the pickup at our hotel in Ubud, connecting us with the guide, and finally sending us back. Perfect communication prior to the trip, and almost everything we needed for the hike was included (food, poles, headlamps, gloves, etc.). Special shoutout to Guide Raka, who was knowledgeable, kind, and humorous :)

We were a group of friends of 3 and had a great young but experienced guide! Interesting group rate! Without him we could not have made this ascent thank you again 🙏 Pick-up and drop-off as well as a good breakfast (burger, pisan goreng, bars, hot drinks,...), frontal, gloves and walking stick were included. We have unforgettable memories and are super proud of ourselves. We passed through the Edelweiss trail up to the peak of 3,142m. In total 11 hours of hiking / mountaineering and 1,780m of D+ It’s a challenging experience and be humble about your abilities, the descent was very hard even if it was really worth it.

I highly recommend doing Mount Agung with them!!! Our guides made us cup noodles, tea and some toast at the last checkpoint before we reached summit. I swear everyone else was so jealous of us 😆 He timed it perfect and we caught the sunrise just in time. Also took great care of us and took many videos for us

I 100% recommend! This was nothing like anything I’ve done before. The views compare to nothing but an airplane window but better! The hike to the highest summit is challenging but the guides are wonderful- shout out IWAN the best photographer!!! If you wondering about difficulty like I was here my thoughts: I’m a healthy 21 year old with not much summiting experience expect I do hike. It was definitely challenging going up but less exhausting than expected you are actually taking your time being careful due to the rough rocky terrain. The thing that was hard was the mental aspect. The climb up is rocky and falling would be dangerous so it can be scary. But I would recommend as the guides make it clear where to go and how to be safe! I do warn that the way down is hard especially on the knees and little slips are more common so don’t lose focus when descending :)
