Incredibly interesting ascent to an active volcano

5.00Since we don't like crowds of tourists and getting up early, we decided to go sunset trekking. Our guide was the young, dedicated Balinese Made, who led us safely up the volcano and down again. The climb was exhausting, it's good when you're in good physical condition. We had the peace we wanted, there were only 5 other people upstairs besides us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the sunset and the volcanic crater through many clouds, but this didn’t bother us, because to feel the hot volcanic steam and to experience how eggs are hard boiled in a small hot cave after 15 minutes, thrilled us. Made prepared us very lovingly a simple but delicious dinner, so that we could start the descent stronger. She had a headlamp for everyone, so the last section in the dark was no problem. We really enjoyed the trip and recommend it to anyone who likes physical exertion and does not enjoy mass tourism!

Thanks to our lovely and caring guide Made, we enjoyed a peaceful trekking, calm and not crowded (compare to sunrise trekking), and were lucky to have a good weather for outstanding views. Big up : Cooking with the steam was a wonderful moment shared with our guide ^^. Thanks very much Made 🫶, we definitely recommend this tour.

5.00Wonderful experience, with a breathtaking view. We chose to go at sunset to avoid the crowds. When we started, the sky was gray, but luckily the clouds cleared once we reached the summit, giving us a stunning sunset. Our guide, Made Winarti, was a sweet, friendly, and caring young woman who truly deserves 5 stars for helping us during both the ascent and descent, and for preparing a delicious snack and hot tea at the top. Highly recommended

5.00It was truly incredible. We enjoyed a pleasant stroll up the mountain, and every challenging step was rewarded with breathtaking views. Following that, we indulged in a soothing session at the hot springs, feeling relaxed and at ease. Later, our driver kindly escorted us to sample some local coffees. Both the driver and our mountain guide were exceptionally friendly and supportive throughout our excursion. Overall, it was a truly wonderful morning and a memorable experience. 😊

5.00Our guide, Agus, was so lovely and friendly and truly a pleasure to walk . He was great at taking photos for us too- some of the best photos from our trip! It was really neat having an egg cooked by the volcano too. Would have been even better if we had better views but the weather/ clouds can't be helped- it is an active volcano after all.

5.00Absolutely an incredible experience. I could not recommend this company and tour experience enough. We had the most amazing guide, Gede Dawan, that lead us to the top. BEAUTIFUL view and great scenery. Look at the weather before you head up & make sure you feel fit enough, it’s not for the faint of heart!

5.00A big thank you to our guide Komang who helped make our hike fun and enjoyable! Komang is super friendly and didn’t mind helping the group members who were struggling a bit to keep up. He was personable, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The hike was a bit harder than we expected, but totally doable and we had an amazing time. Most people chose the sunrise hike, but we were really happy with our choice of the sunset hike. Highly recommend the hike and ask for Komang as your guide!
