Following a Signature Rum Tasting at the Mount Gay Visitor Center, your mixologists will guide you in crafting two classic cocktails. The Cocktail Workshop is geared for adults only and It features all components of the Signature Rum Tasting Plus Cocktail making class as well as time for shopping.

What To Expect
Mount Gay Visitor Experience
The Mount Gay Visitor Centre you will discover the history of Mount Gay on a Tasting Experience. The Tasting will kick off with complimentary rum punch which you can enjoy while your Brand Host takes you through the Legacy Museum. Experience a fascinating glimpse into the illustrious history of Mount Gay Rum and the island of Barbados. After the tasting, the fun continues with a cocktail making session. The mixologists will guide you in crafting your own signature cocktail and there will be competition for who can make the best cocktail! After the session you will be given time to visit the gift shop where you can purchase bottles of rum, gifts or souvenirs. Many of the rums can only be purchased on the island! You can also enjoy finger foods or lunch for purchase at the Live Grill.

4.00It is a great place, the event is fun and they are generous with the rum! The staff are friendly and there is a lot more to explore than expected. Do this, you will not regret it! I took off a star because my tour time was pushed back and I only found out when I got there.

5.00The very very best alcohol tasting experience. You must try this. We were picked up at hotel by minibus as stated. Had 30 minutes to relax at the bar with a Green Monkey cocktail before the tour. Marsha our guide was so informative, funny, friendly. Awesome. Tasted 4 different Mount Gay rums plus all the info. Great group of about 20 people. Then onto the cocktail masterclass with Adrian. Again so good. It lasted about 2 and a half hours between the two. Great value and learnt a lot. You must do this

5.00So informative , and host was so engaging the tour was extremely entertaining and yet educational. We would wholeheartedly recommend this tour BUT do not expect to be able to drive home safely!! Take a cab or other transportation!

3.00The overall experience is good, but I would have a couple of caveats: - You have to be really wanting some extreme Americanism; i.e. people that are very loud and dominate the overall experience. There was a group of eight Americans who were very drunk and very loud which hogged the whole experience because not only did they hog everything but also they took a lot of of the attention of the tour guide. - The experience is not three hours. There is a short tour in a room of pictures which is about 15 minutes, then about 10-15 minutes in another room, then a six minute video followed by tasting four different rooms which takes about 20 minutes. You then make two cocktails which takes no more than half an hour. There is quite a lot of waiting around and the whole period is on your feet other than the six minute video so bear that in mind.

4.00We enjoyed the tour very much, but regretted not taking the advice to verify the time of the tour. Our tickets said 1:30, but the tour started at 1PM. The distillery history and tasting was educational, as well as the hands-on lesson in mixing a Rumtini and Rum Punch.

5.00Far exceeded my expectations. We have been on many distillery tours but this one was one of the best by far. Our guide was so entertaining making it informative and fun. The cocktail class afterwards was a blast. Made a rum based margarita and rum runner which in then consume. Highly recommend for a fun afternoon
