This SELF-GUIDED trip allows you to combine the most popular mountain excursion of the Swiss, with a scenic boat ride and some relaxing hours at the Rigi Kaltbad Mineral Baths & Spa, which delivers an exclusive wellness experience surrounded by a legendary Alpine landscape.
- After arriving in Vitznau, you can take the cogwheel train ascent to Rigi Kulm (departing every hour at xx:15)
- Enjoy the 360-degree panoramas on Rigi Kulm, summit of the Rigi! Don't forget to discover the multiple photo points.
- Take the train (departing every hour at xx:00) in direction of Vitznau, get off at Rigi Kaltbad, the world-class Kaltbad Mineralbad & Spa is just in front of you
- Dip in and spend some relaxing hours in Mineral bath
- Take the next connecting train to Vitznau or cable car to Weggis

What To Expect
Mount Rigi
Hop on the cogwheel train in Vitznau, Europe's first mountain railway, which brings you to the top of Rigi Kulm, aka ‘Queen of the Mountains.’ The mountain top (called Rigi Kulm) provides countless panoramic views overlooking Lake Lucerne. If you prefer to discover another cogwheel train and route, you can also hop on the train to Goldau. Another accessing point to Mt. Rigi is Weggis, where a cable car brings you up to Rigi Kaltbad, from where you can continue by cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm. Your ticket provides unlimited rides on the three transportation services for the whole day and you are able to choose your route according to your wishes.

Your pass includes entry to the Rigi Kaltbad Mineral Baths & Spa, designed by renowned Swiss architect Mario Botta. Its tranquil and contemplative ambience makes it the perfect place for rest and relaxation.

5.00I recommend this one that offers a nice experience and can not disappoint By the way, buying package on site costs more It includes boat and train round trip which I found very convenient and the Spa is very nice with outdoor indoor pool and sauna herbs .. friendly and very helpful staff. To be redone😉

2.00The staff was not very helpful. The spa was hard to navigate. It became a pool setting with kids screaming and running around everywhere. Spa does not allow phone inside so was unable to read or relax on my phone.

5.00Great and easy way to see mt Rigi and use the spa! Such a beautiful and breath taking location. We went up to the top the the mountain first and did some nice walks before heading in for a spa to relax and wind down. The spa would have been better if there was better shower facilities and products for a nice wash to make the return journey home more comfortable

5.00Great experience at the spa with the ability to hike Mt. Rigi beforehand. The rail trip up the mountain was awesome! Great views from the top of the mountain! Just note that if staying in Lucerne, you must book the boat ride from Lucern to Vitznau separately.

5.00This was so convenient! Pre-plan how you’ll get to Rigi mountain but once there it’s incredible. The spa was fabulous, just be prepared if you want to sauna that its textile free (so nude or with a towel). It was an incredibly relaxing day with beautiful views! Would recommend, especially if you do a hard hike the day before.
