Ulun Danu Bratan Temple
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is a famous water temple located on the shores of Lake Beratan in Bedugul, central Bali. It was built in 1633 by the King of Mengwi as a place of worship dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of lakes and rivers in Balinese Hinduism. The temple plays a vital role in Bali’s traditional subak irrigation system, as Lake Beratan is one of the island’s main sources of irrigation water. The temple complex consists of several shrines and multi-tiered meru towers, beautifully reflected on the lake, especially during high water levels. Surrounded by mountains and mist, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is not only a spiritual center but also a symbol of harmony between people, nature, and the gods.

5.00Gorgeous day in the north of Bali, Daren, our guide, was kind, considerate and nice. The north area of Bali is wonderful, a journey into untouched nature. For lunch he accompanied us to a warung of local cuisine where we had a great lunch. Highly recommended.

5.00Daren was a fantastic guide! We did two customized tours to explore East and North Bali, and despite the bad weather and rain, we managed to visit all the places we had planned. The Tour Operator was also very responsive and helpful, always replying promptly to all our requests. Highly recommended!

5.00Bolo is the best Guide/ Driver/ Friend you’ll probably ever get in your trip in Bali. My day trip with my partner went incredibly well in Munduk and Alex made it even more better. He greeted us with the warmest good morning and a bottle of water. Reasons why you should opt this particular trip is : 1. The guide is punctual AF. He was here for the trip at 5:58AM 2. Took us to our trip plan A and stopped wherever necessary appropriately. 3. Alex stopped at the top restaurants yet reasonable ones. 4. The guide is so patient. I’m a photographer and the guide really handled the time I took at every place patiently. He even held my gears every now and then. An assistant I wasn’t prepared for. 5. 5.00One of our favourite activities of our travels so far! Such a fun day and our driver, Adi, made it so interesting and answered all of our questions. He also added in stops that he thought we’d find fun and took us to a really nice waterfall spot that was totally secluded and stunning. Would 100% recommend!

5.00I honestly had the best trip ever, and it was all thanks to WAYAN SUGI, the best driver, tour guide, photographer, and person I could’ve asked for here in Bali. He helped me with absolutely everything, he recommended and took me to the most amazing places, and was just super kind, easygoing, attentive, and warm. I seriously couldn’t have had a better experience without him. 100% recommend him to anyone visiting Bali, and when I come back, there’s no doubt I’ll be calling him again for all my trips!
