5.00A really strong experience from start to finish. Walking in a small group made a huge difference – it became personal, efficient and without the stress that otherwise easily occurs in the Louvre. The guide was knowledgeable and managed to put the art in a wider context, making works like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo actually feel alive, not just “must-see points”. The setup was well balanced – you get to see the most important things without being overwhelmed. 5.00We were very blessed to have Paloma leading our tour. She was very thoughtful and caring of the group making sure that we knew what was happening, and had places to store belongings and time to use the WC etc. Paloma was very dynamic and engaging bringing alive some fascinating parts of the Louvre, and energising us all with interest for the different epochs of history & art. It was very intellectually stimulating, with fascinating facts, amusing anecdotes and interesting concepts. Paloma knew how to bring out the best in everyone and made us all feel valued and included. I feel like I have a deeper grasp of artistic history and Paloma has whetted my appetite for more exploration into the arts and antiquities on future tours.
