Our guide Alex gave us a good bit of information on the history of Bulgaria and Plovdiv. The walking tour provided highlights of the city. Alex’s recommendations on where to go and what to do during our free time was spot on. Highly recommended.

The trip was definitely worth the price. Everything was well organized and on time. Our local guide in Plovdiv, Martin, was excellent — very knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely interesting to listen to throughout the tour. The only thing I would change is the duration of the trip — I wish we had a bit more time to explore Plovdiv and see even more of the city. I was also a bit disappointed that we couldn’t enter the Roman Theatre, as that was one of the places I was most looking forward to seeing. There also wasn’t enough free time to visit any museums. The Ethnographic Museum was recommended as worth visiting, but unfortunately there simply wasn’t enough time for it.

Pick up point was mostly easy to find. It was a large bus tour and the bus was full. Arrive early to board. If you get the tour they split the bus into two groups. It was informative and there was free time as well. Didn’t get back too late which I liked.

The guide in Spanish, named Iva, is excellent. She explained the history and many interesting anecdotes to us. She recommended places to visit and dining options, both in Plovdiv and Sofia. Highly recommended.

It is worth it. The guide was charming. The trip, despite being two and a half hours, is not tiring. The bus is comfortable.

Program: 2 hours bus ride, 2 hours guided tour in the old town of Plovdiv, 2,5 hours of free time to explore and 2 hours back to Sofia. Paval was the perfect guide. Interesting information, enjoyable tour. The perfect sunshine helped. Plovdiv is a gem, highly recommended to visit!

A really good day out, well organised and both of the guides, Martin and Pavel had excellent knowledge and were a pleasure to listen to. The visit was just the right length and the pickup and drop off places were very easy to find. This trip is highly recommended.
