We will visit the main attractions in Muttrah and I will give you a full historical background at each station point.

We will start our tour at the Tourist Office Hub. We will then walk to the fish market. I will give you some background regarding the building and an account of the fish trade throughout Oman's history. We will walk to the back of the market. As we look over to the anchored ships, I will explain how important Oman's maritime history was. We will then walk along the corniche. There, I will share some historical facts about the old houses and the corniche. We will stop opposite the blue mosque for an account of Islam in Oman. We will then make our way to the Muttrah Souq. I will share the details of the frankincense and spice trades. We will head to the back of the souq for some more interesting historical facts. We will finally head to the Muttrah Fort and talk about key events in Oman's history.
