What To Expect

Your adventure begins in the village of Tortuguero, where your local naturalist guide will give you a brief introduction to the history and culture of the area. As night falls, we walk slowly through town before entering the jungle trail—where nature reveals a whole new side. With the help of flashlights, a spotting scope, and your guide’s trained eyes, you’ll search for colorful frogs, snakes, insects, bats, and even mammals like sloths or armadillos. The experience is rich in wildlife, sounds, and surprises. Our guide always carries a first-aid kit, and safety is a priority. The trail is flat and easy to walk, perfect for travelers of all ages who want a taste of real rainforest adventure.

Truthfully without words!! Jairo welcomed us from the first minute in such a warm and friendly way 🥰. We did the night tour and the canoe tour that were amazing!! The passion that jaro has for nature and animals is admirable, in addition to his knowledge of all the species of animals that we cross and interesting data that make the tours something wonderful!! I definitely recommend the tours and especially that they be with Jairo.

We did both a canoe tour and a night tour with Jairo, and you can truly feel his passion in everything he does. He spots wildlife effortlessly, explains things clearly, and makes the whole experience fun and memorable. Thanks to him, we got to see Tortuguero in a unique and authentic way. Highly recommended!

Excellent guide, dynamic, friendly and fun. Careful and very knowledgeable. I would definitely return to this trip. Jairo behaved like every good connoisseur he is. Put it in the front row.

Absolutely fantastic experience, not only did Jairo come to my hotel to pick me up in person before starting the tour and was courteous friendly and experienced but he accompanied me with the experiences of the following day, via WhatsApp support and even personally offered me the best experience I had the next day, in which I met other people and had a fantastic afternoon, I recommend 10/10

Very good guide. He explained and taught us a lot of turtle fauna apart from making it fun and enjoyable. He tried hard to find animals and insects and took care of us during the tour. Highly recommended!

We found this was one of the best tours offered as he really will take his time and make sure you see as much wildlife as possible, for example we managed to see so much it was a great experience and I would highly recommend! We saw sloths/Snake/spiders and many kinds of birds and more.

We had a really nice tour with Jairo! He knows a lot about the area and the wildlife that lives there. He shared all his information with a great deal of enthousiasm and excitement. We saw a lot of beautiful animals and had a really great experience.
