I cant recommend authentic local experience house enough! Such an amazing and authentic experience in Nara. I had the sake tasting experience, it took place in a beautiful 80-year-old traditional Japanese house that doubles as a place to stay, and it felt incredibly personal and welcoming. We learned about the history of sake, how it’s made, flavor profiles, and pairing, then enjoyed a fun, relaxed tasting and Japanese drinking party. Ending the experience by visiting a convenience store to buy snacks that paired with the sake was such a fun and uniquely Japanese touch. Highly recommend if you want a true local experience. I cant thank the host enough!
