Fort Charlotte
Built in 1788 by the British, Fort Charlotte is Nassau’s largest fort, perched on a hill with commanding views of Nassau Harbor. Named after Queen Charlotte, it features dungeons, underground passageways, and a dry moat. Though it never saw combat, it offers a fascinating glimpse into 18th-century military history.
Arawak Cay
Arawak Cay, known locally as the Fish Fry, is Nassau’s hub for authentic Bahamian cuisine. Just west of downtown, it’s lined with colorful restaurants and food stalls serving conch fritters, fried fish, grilled lobster, and other island favorites. It’s a lively spot where locals and visitors mingle over good food and music.

A brilliant experience where we were warmly welcomed by Scott and introduced to our fun and knowledgeable instructor Arthur. After a practice session on a flat area away from traffic we headed up to Fort Charlotte where we had time to explore and find out more about its history. Then on to Fish Fry for lunch and drinks and a trip along the seafront with time to pose for photos. Arthur was friendly and patient and super knowledgeable about Nassau and New Providence Island and the time flew by. Would definitely recommend

Do this tour! The trikes took a minute to get used to because of the fast acceleration . But they can hold most Americans - young and older-weighing up to 300lbs. These are much easier to maneuver than the Segway or an ebike. With our enthusiastic guide Arthur, We drove up to Fort Charlotte for an incredible view at every corner and then walked around the grounds and learned the hard history of the Bahamians. It is extremely well preserved and in tact, including the cannons, dungeons and the original well. I thought it was hands down a much better fort than the one we visited in San Juan. We got back on the trikes and saw the shipping port, and then stopped at the Fish Fry at D Waters cafe for a nice bite of conch fritters and fish sticks. Our waitress Sharice was amazing and attentive. She even gave us a magnet for a souvenir. We then drove up the cruise terminal beach for a short visit to the pier and the lighthouse. It was only a 2 hour tour and they offered pick up and drop off at our hotel. You just have to ask them to do it. Overall, it was a great experience and I enjoyed the ride. I highly recommend this tour and the company. They take pride in their work.
