Aida is an incredibly talented storyteller, and she took us through the story of Florence over the ages, and the personalities and works that shaped the renaissance. I was an art major and she reminded me how much I'd forgotten over the years and taught us a lot of things we simply didn't know. We had our 16 year old with us and we thought the content might lose or 'bore' him, but it was quite the opposite. He later told us that it was one of his favorite parts of our Italy trip and he wished all of his school classes were as engaging. The talk and tour is nerdy, and awesome, and funny, and well worth it. And you'll carry the information and 'perspective' throughout your travels and perhaps you won't see all of that other art the same way again.

One of the best experience we’ve ever had and we travel a lot. Aida is such a nice person, and we had the feeling that we each a movie listening to her. Excellent narator, with a lot of experience and a stein background in history of art.

Aida is honestly one of the reasons I’ve fallen in love with Florence, twice. I’ve done her tours both times I’ve been here, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. She’s incredibly passionate, ridiculously well-researched, and tells the history in a way that actually sticks. You can tell she genuinely loves history, Florence, and its stories. On top of that, she went above and beyond for us. I accidentally thought I’d booked a tour when I hadn’t (100% my fault), and last minute she still managed to give my mum and me a private tour. That kind of kindness and flexibility is rare, especially in a city as busy as Florence. If you’re choosing a tour and wondering who to go with, choose Aida.

This tour is beyond fantastic if what you want is a deep-dive crash course into the history of Florence and the Renaissance. Aida runs an intricate and fascinating tour around the city where she truly brings history to life. We came in knowing almost nothing and left with information that we continued to reference for the rest of our trip around Italy. It was so much fun! Could not recommend this tour highly enough.

My friends and I came into this tour blind with our rudimentary knowledge of art history and European history from high school, but our wonderful and knowledgeable guide, AIDA, was so patient and receptive with our questions. She was such a fantastic tour guide who did a phenomenal job of explaining Florentine history at a relaxed pace. I definitely recommend this tour for curious beginners and inquisitive learners. We LOVED this experience ❤️

This tour was truly wonderful! You can find out so much about Florence and its history, and Aida does it in such a humorous and interesting manner that it really flies by, and in absolutely excellent English. The group size is kept down (I think there were 9 or 10 of us), which makes it much easier to have excellent interaction and ask questions. Aida also has all kinds of useful tips for the best places to visit in Florence, and how to keep your visit e.g. to the Uffizi manageable and not too long, and still see the highlights there. In some locations there is a chance to sit down while Aida is explaining, so good opportunities to rest your legs. Also we had a short break to grab a delicious ice cream :) I did the tour on my first evening in Florence so it set me up perfectly for my time there. I would definitely repeat it if I return to the city. Many thanks, Aida!

Aida was great! We have done tours in different cities and never have you been able to experience history like with Aida! You can see how much passion and knowledge is involved in leadership on each topic (especially historically). Despite the rain, we enjoyed the tour so much that we were literally left speechless, considering the many professional and funny facts about Florence! Thank you Aida for this spectacular introduction!

Brilliant tour, amazing guide. Aida’s knowledge is incredible . She made the tour an absolute delight with her warm personality and great sense of humor. If you book this tour, try and get Aida as your guide, you will not regret it. The tour went longer than advertised purely down to her enthusiasm. Not to be missed.

Make this walking tour with Aida your FIRST TOUR in Florence! She shares so much helpful information! She's a wealth of information, especially about the history of the intersection of medieval and renaisonse politics, art, and architecture. A TRUE GEM! Highly recommend! We gratefully tipped her very well- worth every dollar. Thanks, Aida!
