From the relaxed comfort of our covered New Orleans Swamp Tour Boats, you will drift slowly past a 2000 year old Indian Burial Mound, a Cajun cemetery and a fishing village! You'll admire the wildlife that made the Barataria Swamps the Crown Jewel of the Louisiana Purchase. Here, birds, snakes, turtles, fur animals, and gators - the king of the swamp - are easily spotted in Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Folding wheelchairs are allowed, but the driver is not allowed to pick up a person to help them gain entrance. The customer must get into the minibus by themselves or with assistance from family or friends.
Please note you are not guaranteed to see a gator. They hibernate in winter months but are easily spotted in spring, summer, and fall.
Service animals are permitted.
Emotional support animals are not permitted.

Barataria Preserve
On this tour, you will enjoy a fully narrated swamp tour by one of our local captains on the comfort of a swamp tour boat. Our tour boats feature a roof, cushioned seats, windows that can be raised or lowered for the weather, restroom, and plenty of standing and walking room. You may even experience a close encounter with some of the local swamp life. The Swamp Tour by Tour Boat with Pickup does include ground transportation.

5.00This was a great experience! I wasn’t expecting to see so many gators and learning that they love marshmallows was a very fun fact! If you can request Captain Bebop as your guide, DO IT! You will not be disappointed. They have a snack and souvenir shop and restrooms available. Check them out!!

5.00The whole thing was great start to finish. We got picked up right outside our hotel (downtown pick only I believe), and from there for clear instructions on where to collect the tickets for the boat and which dock to stand at. Timings were near enough perfect, we got on the boat with Captain Trey and he was great - such an entertainer. The whole experience was brilliant, from ease of booking through to getting dropped back off after the tour. Saw so many alligators and other wildlife, which was pointed out by Captain Trey each time. We even got to hold his little baby gator, Gatorade. 10/10 experience. Thank you 🤩
