From the relaxed comfort of our covered New Orleans Swamp Tour Boats, you will drift slowly past a 2000 year old Indian Burial Mound, a Cajun cemetery and a fishing village! You'll admire the wildlife that made the Barataria Swamps the Crown Jewel of the Louisiana Purchase. Here, birds, snakes, turtles, fur animals, and gators - the king of the swamp - are easily spotted in Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Folding wheelchairs are allowed, but the driver is not allowed to pick up a person to help them gain entrance. The customer must get into the minibus by themselves or with assistance from family or friends.
Please note you are not guaranteed to see a gator. They hibernate in winter months but are easily spotted in spring, summer, and fall.
Service animals are permitted.
Emotional support animals are not permitted.

Barataria Preserve
On this tour, you will enjoy a fully narrated swamp tour by one of our local captains on the comfort of a swamp tour boat. Our tour boats feature a roof, cushioned seats, windows that can be raised or lowered for the weather, restroom, and plenty of standing and walking room. You may even experience a close encounter with some of the local swamp life. The Swamp Tour by Tour Boat with Pickup does include ground transportation.

5.00Capt Adam was great! Our local airboat Skipper is a skilled, safe pilot with the heart of a conservationist and a passion for sharing his experience and knowledge with others. Our trip was most pleasant, informative, and full of alligators -- they were everywhere! This a must-see for visitors!!

5.00We went on the swamp tour with Capt. Ernie. Capt. Ernie was so knowledgeable about New Orleans, and the swamp and quite funny. He definitely kept us entertained, and the ride was nice. He told us we may not see gators, because of the weather. Fortunately for us it started to warm up, and we saw a total of six gators, and he let us hold a baby gator. I highly recommend this tour, and I will most definitely do it again in the summer time.

5.00We had beautiful weather but bring something warm for when you are on the water. We really loved this trip, captain Bobby was great and very informative. It was super chilled and just what we needed. We got to hold gorgeous Al which was a super bonus - thanks all, well worth the money.

5.00This was a fabulous break from the city - and the best part was the pontoon boat Capt Ernie. He was so knowledgeable and interesting and we enjoyed every minute even though we only saw one small alligator and it was chilly. He knows so much about the wildlife and the history of the area. Loved it.

5.00100000% recommended and worth the price! They pick you straight from the hotel and return you back, and our driver, Lorraine was so welcoming fun and a whole vibe. She made the ride (and traffic) seem quick and easy. Captain Ernie made the whole trip absolutely amazing! Hilarious and very informative, and although it was cold he was able to spot some alligators and got us up close. Absolutely recommend! Bring cash for tips
