From the relaxed comfort of our covered New Orleans Swamp Tour Boats, you will drift slowly past a 2000 year old Indian Burial Mound, a Cajun cemetery and a fishing village! You'll admire the wildlife that made the Barataria Swamps the Crown Jewel of the Louisiana Purchase. Here, birds, snakes, turtles, fur animals, and gators - the king of the swamp - are easily spotted in Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Folding wheelchairs are allowed, but the driver is not allowed to pick up a person to help them gain entrance. The customer must get into the minibus by themselves or with assistance from family or friends.
Please note you are not guaranteed to see a gator. They hibernate in winter months but are easily spotted in spring, summer, and fall.
Service animals are permitted.
Emotional support animals are not permitted.

Barataria Preserve
On this tour, you will enjoy a fully narrated swamp tour by one of our local captains on the comfort of a swamp tour boat. Our tour boats feature a roof, cushioned seats, windows that can be raised or lowered for the weather, restroom, and plenty of standing and walking room. You may even experience a close encounter with some of the local swamp life. The Swamp Tour by Tour Boat with Pickup does include ground transportation.

Swamp water adventure!

5.00It was cold out the day we went however the waters are warm and the alligators came out to see us. Got excellent photos as the alligators were attracted to the boat with white marshmallows. Captain Ernie had some great stories all along the way highly recommend this adventure!

5.00Great adventure!! Kenny is an excellent operator. Sharing his expertise and knowledge making the event extremely interesting. Saw about a dozen gators with a couple up close and personal. This is a must do adventure.

5.00We had Captain Ernie, and he was great! Very knowledgeable and funny about the animals and the swamp, but also passionate about conservation. Got to see lots of gators in early March, but the bigger ones get more active in the hot months. Also, Capt. Ernie said May was mating season if you want a show. Come and support this great local company!

5.00This was a great experience! We upgraded to go on a smaller airboat and it was 1000% worth it. Rocky was our guide and gave great information, made the boat ride exciting and was very involved with the alligators, even getting a few up on to the end of the boat.

5.00Super fun, recommend going in the spring to see a lot of wildlife. And you get to hold a baby alligator! Our tour guide Bebop was fantastic at telling stories and cracking good jokes!
