Growing up witnessing some of New York’s infamous families and having consulted for TV and major films makes this a unique experience no other company can offer.

John's of 12th Street
John’s of 12th Street in NYC has a rich history intertwined with the Italian Mafia. Located in the East Village, this iconic Italian restaurant opened in 1908 and quickly became a popular spot for mobsters12. During Prohibition, it operated as a speakeasy, making wine and whiskey in the basement1. One of the most notorious events associated with John’s was the 1922 assassination of Umberto Rocco Valenti, a Morello family hitman, who was killed there during a "peace meeting". The restaurant’s old-world charm and connection to the Mafia have made it a legendary spot, even featured in shows like Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos We meet inside the back room of this iconic "Red Sauce Joint" for many reasons including the historic relationship to the beginnings of the NYC Mafia

Located almost entirely on Manhattan Island near the southern tip of the state, Manhattan constitutes the center of the Northeast megalopolis and the urban core of the New York metropolitan area.[6] Manhattan serves as New York City's economic and administrative center and has been described as the cultural, financial, media, and entertainment capital of the world

This was one of the most excellent - make that amazing! - tours I have ever had the privilege of attending. Mr. O'Leary has an amazing knowledge of the history of organized crime, and his being both a Retired New York's Finest and a Nontoxic Goodfella allowed him to share rare and uniquely distinctive insights. His tour so piqued my interests that, following its conclusion and my returning home, I Google-ed and Wikipedia-ed for hours in follow-up, and all he said checked out. The meal at John's on East 12th Street was excellent and most filling. I was thereafter too sated to fully enjoy the next meal at Benito One's on Mulberry Street, but will comment that it was hands-down the best eggplant parm I've ever tasted. And Mr. O'Leary did a splendid job of navigating the tour group between these two locations on one of those special summer nights when the weather was perfect and everybody in the city was out and about. At some point in the future, I know that I will take this tour again!

This was an awesome tour, great info and very interesting. The eggplant dinner I was skeptical of but it was the best part. When we booked we couldn’t find anything about kids, but but we took our 2 daughers(7yrs and 1yr 8month) (we sent a message before to confirm it was fine) girls ate off our plates and our tour guide was very nice and asked if they wanted anything different. I was a little skeptical of the price but it was well worth it. I would recommend to everyone
