Good tour! Everything on time, good driver Nikola. But at booking ut was said there would be a bus with the bathroom and wi-fi, in fact the bus was small and didn't have the listed commodities. Moreover the space for legs was pretty tight, I felt uncomfortable. But still the tour itself is really great, I saw the falls, took a boat trip, had dinner at Sheraton and saw the fireworks over Niagara Falls - incredible! If you take this tour - wear flipflops for the boat, it's really wet!!! You literally will take a shower in the waterfall and this plastic poncho won't save you! but it's fun.

As 1st time visitors to the area, we were staying in Niagara-on-the-Lake and had arranged with Zoom Tours to be picked up at the Tim Horton's there. We were dropped at what we were told was the only Tim Horton's in that area, located at a major intersection and highly visible. (Apparently, however, there is a small Tim Horton's kiosk in a gas station which even the locals are not aware of). We waited for more than 40 minutes while in constant touch with Zoom tours, who said the driver, Nick was there waiting for us. That was certainly not the case as we watched other tour companies arrive to pick up passengers for their tours. We spoke to 3 other drivers who told us that where we waited was indeed a central pick-up location for tours, however, there was no Zoom Tours van. After immense confusion and numerous calls with Zoom Tours, we paid out of pocket for an Uber to take us to one of the first stops on the tour. We were told that the van would be easily identified as it was clearly marked with Zoom Tours. A van drove past us but was not marked, so we continued to walk around looking for the driver. Eventually, the driver of that van got out and walked towards us and abruptly asked if we were looking for a tour. ?? I asked if he represented Zoom Tours and he nodded and then just as abruptly told us to get on. He did not verify the information and did not want to see the confirmation I tried to show him. FYI......we did find the name of the tour company, in small and faded print, just above the rear tire, driver's side and took a picture, as no one would ever had been able to identify the tour company's name even from a slight distance! We can certainly send you a copy of the picture we took! As we boarded the van, we noticed that everyone else onboard seemed as confused as we were. Later conversations with the other passengers revealed that we were not the only ones who had to taxi/Uber to a specific point, having been assured of reimbursement, which we all agreed we would likely not ever receive! Also, the tour guide/driver did not provide any information voluntarily. He provided little to no information at any of the stops and simply said that each stop would only be for a few moments as he had to make up time. Further, Nick had to be pressed for answers and seemed unaware of what was included in everyone's package, (ie, boat tickets, dinner). Only when people began to question Nick, explaining what they had paid for did he actually go to check things out. At one stop, we elected to stay on the bus and our driver Nick loudly spoke to his office on the phone, explaining that he was "used to dealing with people like us" and suggested not to blame the girl in the office as she was "a nice girl" and that he would take care of things on his end. He seemed not to care that we were sitting right there and heard every word! At this point I must make it perfectly clear that NO ONE on that bus raised their voices or openly complained to our driver. We were, in fact, a friendly group of Canadians, Australians, Americans and British who not only wanted to enjoy the tour, but also enjoy each other's company! This was certainly not encouraged by our driver, so we got to know each other by speaking at the stops and during the boat tour and dinner. As Canadians, my husband and I felt it was up to us to encourage conversation and answer the many questions our fellow travellers had about Canada. I have both worked in the Tourism Industry and taught Tourism at the College level in my home province for more than 30 years and I fully understand how things can sometimes happen. What I cannot fathom is the obvious lack of customer service training of the Zoom Tours employees! What could have been a 'defining moment' in true customer service, was sadly turned into anything but! Unfortunately, we were a quiet group of people who just went through the motions of a greatly anticipated tour, and who eventually began speaking to each other at the various stops, sharing similar experiences. When we stopped for dinner at the Sheraton, Nick pointed towards the hotel and told us to take the elevator to the top. A lady from Australia spoke up and asked how would the restaurant know what tour company we were with. Nick simply got off the bus and told us to follow him. When we arrived at the restaurant, they had no reservation for us so Nick asked to speak with someone he knew. After a considerable wait, a man finally arrived and told Nick to tell his people to sit and that we would be taken care of. Nick said he would go back to the bus and then sternly reminded us that after the fireworks, he would be leaving at precisely 10:15pm and not one minute later, as he had the long drive back to Toronto and had to be back at work the following morning. When we left the Niagara Falls area, Nick said he would drop us back to Niagara-on-the-Lake and asked where he should drop us (the only time he actually spoke to my husband and I for the entire tour). We asked if he could drop us on Queen St., the main street of the area, as we didn't want to delay the rest of the group. We got off the bus and called an Uber to bring us back to our accommodations, 10 minutes away. While my husband was reluctant to tip Nick, I said....that's not who we are and no doubt Nick relied on the tips as extra income. We would have gladly tipped him well over the $40 we gave him if the service had been even remotely better! Unfortunately, while we enjoyed the boat tour and the fireworks, the tour was overall a major disappointment and definitely not in any way worth what we paid $538 plus 2 Ubers ($35 total) for!! As you are aware, there are many tour operators who offer similar tours for similar prices, so in good conscience, I will have to tell other travellers to explore the other companies for what I would hope to be a much better experience than we had!! We made the mistake for travelling to Toronto for a tour of Niagra Falls. We should have just gone directly to the falls and taken a tour there. We did not find the tour narrative on the way to be engaging, entertaining or educational enough about the area. The time it took to travel from DT Toronto to the falls was so very long! We are fans of local tours no matter where we travel and though our tour guide (who was more of a bus driver than orator) was a very nice man - very pleasant for sure - the actual tour narrative was not what we have come to expect.

Sights, sounds, color and taste. We’ll do it again. We experienced the American side last year, we had to do the Canadian side for comparison as we have heard from friends and family how there is a difference.
