Our trails have been modified and improved day by day, ensuring a comfortable and safe walk, without losing touch with the natural environment. This paradise surrounded by ponds and natural habitat is home to diverse species of frogs, reptiles, and nocturnal mammals. During the walk, you will have the opportunity to observe the frogs closely in their habitat, while enjoying the endless sounds emerging from the jungle under the mantle of night. Our expert guides will accompany you along the way, sharing their knowledge of local species and offering you an immersive and educational experience in this true natural sanctuary. 5.00The night tour tour at Papa's Place was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Even though we were running a few minutes late, the staff welcomed us with incredible warmth and hospitality. Before the tour even officially began, our group had already spotted a wild sloth near the entrance, which set an auspicious tone for the entire evening. Here is why you should absolutely book this experience: Intimate Group Size: Even though it was a public tour, our group was perfectly sized with just four people. This allowed for a highly personalized, unhurried experience. Expert Guiding: Our guide (I believe her name was Indy) was exceptionally friendly and deeply knowledgeable about the local ecosystem. She was also so helpful & encouraging teaching us to spot animals on our own, which we got pretty great at by then end! Incredible Wildlife Sightings: Thanks to our guide's depth of experience we saw sloths, lizards, snakes, and an amazing variety of colorful frogs and tadpoles swimming around (the absolute highlight for me!) Professional Scope Photos: Our guide used our phones to take high-quality photos through her professional scope and made sure we didn't miss any photos (and videos) we wanted to capture. This allowed us to get stunning, crisp keepsake photos without any of the stress, so we could just stay present and immerse ourselves in the sights and sounds of the rainforest at night. Supporting this lovely, family-owned business made our vacation so much more special. If you want an authentic, magical wildlife experience with a team that truly cares, look no further than Papa’s Place. We cannot recommend them highly enough!"

5.00We had heard that Papa’s Place offered the best nature experience in La Fortuna, and now I see why! Our guide found so many frogs of so many different kinds, plus a viper snake (safely asleep in a tree), and even a sloth. I got the sense that the people there really cared about nature and the animals, and the place felt natural rather than touristy. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and teen daughters all enjoyed it as much as I did.

5.00Had an amazing experience with our guide (who was a biologist and a national geographic photographer!) we were able to get amazing pics and see really cool frogs, snakes, bugs and plants. A really cool experience and would definitely recommend.

5.00An amazing experience in Costa Rica! Our guide was incredible and we saw so many night creatures on our walk! Our guide really took a lot of time giving us information about the creatures we saw and the surrounding plants and trees! A 10 out of 10 experience not to be missed!

5.00We give Papa’s place a 10/10! Easy to book on their website, we arrived to papas place and were greeted by friendly staff, awaiting the rest of our group for the night tour. We joined with 3 other people, making a nice small group. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, kind, enthusiastic, and wanted us to have the best experience. Also helped us all take good pictures through the spotting scope of animals, which was much appreciated! We experienced multiple types of snakes (eyelash pit viper, brown viper, salmon bellied), a sloth, and numerous frogs(red eye, glass, poison dart). The price was a good deal for the quality of experience. We spent 1.5 hr on the night tour.

5.00We had a great time at Papas place! We met our guide Brian on a different tour, and booked with him to do this fun night tour. He’s so knowledgeable! Also has a great sense of humor for the kids. We saw a sloth which was amazing! Lots of fun frogs, snakes, and its mating season! Thanks for a great night Brian!
