• So much fun in the kitchen!

  We had the BEST time with Anna & Valerio! The food that we made was delicious and the company was just as good. They made this cooking class so much fun and enjoyable. Even for the one in our group that doesn’t like to cook! The wine is bottomless too…haha! So many laughs! Highly recommend!!

  Ana and Valerio were amazing hosts for my wife and I for our cooking class in Sorrento. We made gnocchi sorrentina, a tomato salad, fresh mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto and grilled and tiramisu all from scratch. They both cooked with us and used only the best ingredients. The wine flowed all evening and we spent the whole evening talking with both Anna and Valerio as if we had known them for years. We even went back the following night to the bar/club they own downstairs and enjoyed that as well. They were both very kind and very patient with us.

  Apparently one cannot leave 6 stars! Besides the beautiful setting in the wine bar with Italian classic songs from the 60’s and 70’s in the background, the informative instruction, great food and wine, the best part of this class were Anna and Valerio. They are a pleasant, fun but hardworking couple that pays attention to detail and to their guests. I was travelling solo and booked this event in order to be with other people in the class. It turned out I was the only guest and weeks before they contacted me to give me the option of another day with other guests but I could not do it. I offered other days but explained that I chose this one because it was my birthday and they immediately responded and said “well in that case, we’re are doing it even if you are alone”. They spared no effort to make it comfortable and special. They made sure I got my hands dirty and did a good portion of the work and one of them was always taking pictures which they shared at the end of the class so I have a much more fantastic photo journal than I could have captured myself. I have taken cooking classes in Spain, Marrakech, Vietnam, and Montreal which were all great in their own way but this was definitely the best. Join them if you was a genuine experience.

  This was incredible! We had so much fun and we did not stop smiling the entire time! Book this! You will not be disappointed! Anna and Valerio are so kind and they offer an amazing experience cooking Italian cuisine while drinking wine! We absolutely loved this. I wish we were in town longer to try out their cocktail bar, Shub. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

  The cooking class was so much fun! We were lucky enough to have the class to ourselves and Nina and Valerio made us feel relaxed, happy and engaged! They were very playful, took pictures throughout the process so we could be in the moment, and provided thorough explanations for each step. But the star of the show was definitely the food and wine! I would recommend this over any other cooking experience in sorrento. *chef’s kiss*

  Wow. Anna and Valerio truly put together a Sorrento experience that is unforgettable. From the free flowing wine throughout the entire night to the fresh ingredients and thorough instructions across all 3 courses, my husband and I had the most incredible time. We would absolutely do this again with our daughters in the future and recommend everyone visit them as well as their little speakeasy called Shub, even if you don’t do their class. They sent us pictures they took throughout as well as full recipes to try at home. Soo worth it. Don’t second guess it, just do it.

  When we were looking for some type of cooking experience, we liked that none of the reviewers of Nina Sorrento claimed to feel rushed. The clincher was not knowing what we would be making. As people who enjoy surprises, we signed up. It took a little effort to find the location (a place called Shub). But, it was well worth it. Anna and Valerie are too people who love what they do and are excellent at what they do. Anna kept the wine glasses full at all times, which was appreciated. And thanks to her, I can separate an egg without breaking the yolk. I've never been able to do that before. Valerio taught us the ins and outs of pasta dough preparation and how to know when fresh pasta is done. When we were finally able to eat what we made, holy cow! I did not know I was capable of making something that good. The class itself felt like we were hanging out with friends rather than being in a class. They provide good times, good wine, great food, and an amazing all around experience.
