Had the most amazing evening with Ryan on the nocturnal wildlife tour. Ryan collected us from our accommodation and transported us to Yelverton Brook Conservation Park. We started with a brief walk to a small clearing in the forest. Along the way Ryan described some of the trees and bushes. Upon arriving at the clearing this is where the real magic began. There are no guarantees as to which animals will come and see you here but we were really very lucky with Bandicoots and around a dozen Kangaroos joining us - it was amazing! We then carried on deeper into the forest were we looked at other vegetation and hunted for various spiders. Ryan was also able to point of many star constellations as we walked too. It was a truly wonderful night and is something neither myself or my wife will ever forget.

  • A unique, fun for the whole family experience!

Wow! What an experience! Our entire family had an amazing time interacting with several nocturnal species, learning about the native vegetation, and spectacular star gazing . The guides, Mic and Ryan, are engaging, informative, and passionate. The tour concludes with a 30-minute walk through the bush. The terrain is flat and not physically challenging; however, for young children, they might tire. So keep this in mind when planning: consider a backpack carrier for toddlers and an afternoon rest for the kiddos who don’t love a long walk. We would book this tour again and again! Thank you, Mic and Ryan!

We did the Nocturnal Wildlife Tour with our two kids between 7 and 10. Had a great time and saw much more wildlife than we expected. Ryan and Mick were both very knowledgeable, interesting and we're great with the kids. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Absolutely fantastic experience. From the up close and personal interactions with the fluffier inhabitants, to the slightly less close viewing of the spiders, insects, amphibians and other fauna. Mick and Ryan are an absolute goldmine of info and are clearly very passionate about respectful engagement with the natural world. Gutted I'm not in the area long enough to do their daytime tours.

We had an unforgettable evening in the private wildlife sanctuary and met so many of our native animals! Ringtail possums, brushtail possums, quendas, a variety of spiders, frogs, crayfish, kangaroos with joeys. It was a pleasure to get so up and close to a lot of these animals (I stayed well clear of the spiders though). Our two guides were super relaxed, took care of us and imparted their wealth of knowledge. We enjoyed every minute of our walk through the bush.

This was a very enjoyable evening with Mick, seeing wildlife not normally encountered in the day, meeting and feeding kangaroos, bandicoots and possums and learning about local plants and trees. It is worth applying insect repellent before beginning - we found we had multiple bites from mosquitoes/fleas from the animals
