Each tour stop showcases why Traverse City's vineyard region has become one of America's premier wine destinations. Grand Traverse Bay
Grand Traverse Bay is an arm of Lake Michigan. The bay is separated from the rest of Lake Michigan by the Leelanau Peninsula. The bay is some 32 miles long, ranges from 7 to 10 miles wide, and up to 620 feet deep in spots. It is the second-largest bay of Lake Michigan, behind Green Bay. Grand Traverse Bay earned its name from 18th-century French voyageurs who made "la grande traverse" or a long trek or crossing, across the mouth of bay. The most famous feature of the Grand Traverse Bay is the division into East and West arms by the Old Mission Peninsula. During this tour, on the way from Traverse City to Hawthorne Vineyards, our tour guests will see stunning views of the East Bay. Tour guests will be driven right along the shoreline at times. On the drive from Hawthorne to Bowers guests will see views of the West Bay. Tour guests will see views of both East and West Bays during the rest of the tour as well. A very large part of this award winning tour are the views!

5.00We had an amazing time on our wine tour! Our guide, Clover, was friendly, professional, and made the entire experience fun and stress-free. She kept us on schedule while making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. We visited beautiful wineries, had a fantastic girls’ trip, and never had to worry about transportation. Highly recommend this tour and our wonderful guide—we would definitely do it again!

5.00We had SO MUCH FUN on this wine tour! Clover was the best as our driver and tour guide, she ensured we had good seats with pretty views at each winery and took pics for us at each stop. The communication with her and Mike was excellent. They truly made us feel special and provided us options prior to and during the day of the tour. It was completely worth going with this tour as we didn’t have to worry about driving or picking out the right stops that suited our group. Thank you so much Clover and Mike!!!

5.00Tracy was a wonderful, kind, knowledgeable and helpful guide!! She picked us up, drove us to the wineries, helped us find seating, took photos of us, checked in frequently, brought us water and even our food! She really went the extra mile by running to pick up ibuprofen for someone in our group. Everything was above and beyond what was expected or necessary, and made our day GREAT!!! The car was clean and comfortable.

5.00I took the wine tour last night and had a great time! Mike was our guide, and he customized the tour based on what we liked and were interested in. The wineries were all unique, and the scenery was beautiful. For someone visiting from out of town, I was able to see the area outside of the downtown and hotels. Highly recommended!
