The bus driver did a safe job driving us. The tour manager Jenny, has ALOT to learn!!! I felt unsafe during this tour. It rained, and we were walking on cobblestones down a steep incline. Jenny left at least 10 of us. I felt it was slippery, and if I had fallen, she would never have known. She even lost one woman, who turned around!!! When we were walking up a steep incline, there was no ability for her to communicate with the local guide leading the tour, who went at a very fast pace for 20-30 year olds. I am 60. My friend is 60. We walk every day, but the pace on this was too fast for the incline and ZERO regard for people that were a bit slower. We needed maybe 2 extra minutes, but neither the local guide or the tour manager was concerned. I told the local guide to slow down. He did not when we started walking again. Bottom line on this tour, I felt unsafe during alot of it. I can't recommend this tour and I have done at least 60 Viator tours. Definitely, I do not recommend this tour if you are over 50.

Our North Macedonia: Ohrid & Saint Naum Day Tour was fantastic and made even better by our guide, Mandi. His English and communication were excellent, making everything easy to follow and enjoyable throughout the day. He was very knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting information in an entertaining way that kept everyone engaged. Mandi handled the group with professionalism and patience throughout the day, despite constant interruptions 👵🏻 and still kept everything running smoothly and on schedule. We never felt rushed. Overall, we had a lovely day exploring. If we had one personal preference, we would perhaps choose a smaller group tour next time, but that is simply down to personal choice ☺️. We would recommend!

Unfortunately, this tour to Lake Ohrid was disappointing mainly because of the poor organisation. The pickup was supposed to happen one hour before the official tour start time. After I complained, I was at least offered a later pickup, but even then the bus arrived late. The group itself was far too large — around 40 to 50 people — and many participants seemed unprepared. Some travellers had forgotten their passports and had to leave the tour before we could even properly start. Once we were finally on the road, the experience did not improve much. The audio system was terrible: sometimes there was constant static noise from the speakers, and at other times the music was played extremely loudly and became genuinely disturbing. On top of that, the atmosphere often felt more like a chaotic kindergarten excursion than a pleasant day trip because of the behaviour and interruptions of some participants. The guide Mandi was cheerful and friendly enough, but he repeated himself constantly and seemed to feel the need to entertain the group at all times — for example by encouraging people to sing along during the journey. On long stretches of the drive, many people clearly just wanted to rest or sleep, which made this feel rather exhausting instead of enjoyable. Things became even more chaotic at the border when one participant did not receive her passport back. This was only noticed later, forcing the entire group to wait while the situation was clarified and arrangements were made for her to recover the passport. The places we visited were genuinely beautiful, and Lake Ohrid itself is definitely worth seeing. However, I cannot recommend this specific tour operator. I would strongly suggest either booking a smaller and better-organised tour or simply exploring the area independently by car. The roads were in good condition and driving there would likely be a far more enjoyable experience.

Jenny was a great tour guide and gave us a lot of interesting information. She made the whole day incredibly fun. Martina our local guide was great as well and did a awesome tour of Ohrid! The city of Ohrid is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Border control can take a bit of time and it’s a long day but definitely worth it.

The bus journey is very long on a slow and winding road. The bus was too hot throughout and the tour guide (George) was not in control at any point during the tour, leading to misunderstandings and delays throughout the day. Unfortunately his English was not strong enough to engage the group and we barely understood the facts/history he was attempting to share. He was not able get the attention of the bus and stopped speaking the moment others did. He was also rude to a group of female passengers at the end of the tour about hotel drop-off and was unbothered about them getting home safely (though they had paid for hotel drop-off). North Macedonia itself was wonderful and highly recommended and with a different tour guide and bus driver this is potentially a great day trip.

Our guide Genti provided ample history and facts about Albania since its days of antiquity to the present with interest and humor. The tour stops provided enough time to enjoy Ohrid and Lake Orhid, plus St Naum monastery. The transport bus was air-conditioned and comfortable, which is necessary for the lengthy journey. I recommend the trip and Genti

Despite the weather, & returning to a ‘peaceful protest’ in the city centre of Tirana, Armand our guide and our wonderful bus driver were extremely cheerful & patient. Armand was extremely informative, a person who clearly loved his job, a fantastic personality to be fair. The bus driver must have been very frustrated to be greeted with the news he had to turn around near the centre, adding an hour & half to the journey, he must have been very tired as a result. Both driver & guide were magnificent! First class! I recommend this trip 100%.

Ohrid is lovely. Loooong day but worth it. Big bus was full. Guide did not really say much. Maybe 2-3 things here and there but nothing really significant and did not go into depth. Guide in Ohrid was ok. Time there was enough to get lunch and look around. Bring cash because stores rarely take credit cards. Also don’t forget your passport.

It was an opportunity to see a little more of Albania and North Macedonia. Beautiful scenery and history. Dave and Jetmiri made it a successful trip. Dave has great energy and keeps the tour mood up.
