The Purple Island, also known as Al Khor Island, is a hidden natural gem located about an hour’s drive north of Doha. This small island is connected to the mainland by a narrow walkway surrounded by shallow waters and vibrant mangrove forests. It’s a peaceful escape where visitors can enjoy nature walks, birdwatching, and scenic views of Qatar’s coastal beauty. The island’s name comes from ancient dye production, once made here from local sea shells.

Very nice trip. Also the guide Mr Faisal was amazing. All places the mangroves, purple island were a great visit.
