Experience the original North Shore activities tour, locally owned and operated for a more authentic O‘ahu adventure. With more time off the bus than any other tour, this experience is designed for travelers who want to explore, not just sightsee.
The Surf Bus lets you choose your activities on the day of the tour, once you see ocean conditions and available options. All activity rental gear is included, so there’s nothing extra to plan or stress about.
Enjoy up to 1.5 hours in historic Hale‘iwa Town, where you’ll have time for:
Lunch and Shop Local. Matsumoto Shave-ice. Optional kayaking or SUP with the chance to see Hawaiian green sea turtles .
Choose how active—or relaxed—you want your day to be, with options such as snorkeling, kayaking, biking, waterfall visits, or simply exploring at your own pace.

What To Expect
North Shore
Choose to spend your time between swimming on the crystal clear waters of Waimea Bay, snorkeling at Shark's Cove (one of Oahu's marine sanctuaries), bike ride the "Tree Tunnel Bike Path", or visit the biggest collection of Polynesian plants at Waimea Valley and swim at the Falls.

5.00As I was paddle boarding up the canal and saw the 'Adventure Awaits' sign, I knew I was already there. The day started at a local coffee grower and a stop at the beach to spot sea turtles. Loved the personalized small tour with whale sightings and snorkeling with sea urchins and beautiful fish that looked like mirrors in the sun. Cousin G seems to know everyone and the best spots. And, yes the shrimp plate in Shark Cove is delicious. Promise not to stalk you at Costco, Cousin G.

5.00A great tour of the island, definately a must. Cousin G our driver and host for the day was amazing and funny. Lots of information and local knowledge. Totally worth the price. The mini bus was comfy and air conditioned very pleasant ride for our day.

5.00This was so much better than anticipated and worth every penny! Everything was planned and accommodated for enough time to have fun! We snorkeled, battles boarded and a couple in our group did the water fall. Uncle Kevin was knowledgeable and entertaining!

5.00A remarkable experience! I chose The Surf Bus for 2 reasons: one, they have amazing reviews and two, because its the only one that pick you up from the west side resorts. I took the activity with my family and was simply amazing. The driver Sam, was super kind, knowledgeable and professional. The sightseeings are breathtaking. And the highlight of the day for us was the kaiak activity where we had the chance to see turtles (very big ones btw) Highly recommended! Dont think twice!

5.00EXCELLENT way to experience the North Shore! My brother, husband, and I had a great, active, and memorable day. It was great to stay in one area of the island and do and see so many things in the North Shore. Each activity lasted for about 1.5-2.5 hours and that was such a refreshing pace to go at when on a tour. We chose snorkeling on Shark’s Cove and paddle boarding in Hal’iwa. We got to see 5 sea turtles while paddle boarding! Another highlight was going to the Matsumoto Shave Ice store which was DELICIOUS! The line was long but worth it! The guide, Uncle Kevin, was so kind and personable. He was very knowledgeable and kept it real and relaxed with us. His demeanor was so easy going too- loved that he added a few stops to our tour like a fruit shack run by some of his relatives. Would definitely recommend this tour!
