  We had a great evening from start to finish with Bart the guide and photographer and Micheal the driver. Definitely lucky to get the Northern Lights throughout the evening, our hosts were quick, available, responsive to make us discover these lights and endure the cold with warm clothes and to drink and eat. Coming to help us make our own pictures, he also offered his own which are at the top. Excellent excursion, which was worth putting the price on.

  The Wandering Owl Northern Lights Photography Workshop is essential if you want to take beautiful photos of the aurora. It was expertly led by premier guide and photographer Delphin, who explained every detail to our small group about how to capture the northern lights with our cameras and lenses. This is a must-do workshop before going out to photograph the northern lights.

  We recently returned from an enjoyable trip to Norway, including Tromso, specifically to see the Northern Lights. We took one day trip (Arctic Landscapes) and one night trip (Northern Lights) with Wandering Owl and for both the guide and driver were knowledgeable, patient, and professional. Based on our excellent experience, we strongly recommend using Wandering Owl for any tours you are considering in Tromso. We also took an evening tour with a different company and they were much less organized and professional.

  I signed on for a Wandering Owl Aurora Chase and, having little night photography experience, decided the WO Night Photo Workshop would help. Absolutely it did! Instructor Delphin presented the essentials along with composition and editing tips through commentary, help with our equipment, and illustrative slides. I remain surprised how much I assimilated in a one-hour session. As a result, I got some decent photos on my first night out. I also met some nice people in the workshop - always a plus. The workshop was well worth the time and price.

  We were with David, a very attentive and close guide. The tour was very well organized with a small group of tourists. It was all very familiar. They gave us hot chocolate, tea and reindeer soup, and some delicious homemade cookies. We made a little campfire while contemplating the auroras. We were in a natural place with an unforgettable starry sky. David made us a great photo report, with lots of photos, individual and group, at no extra cost. With people as willing as David, these kinds of activities are forever engraved in memory. Fully recommended, also for the tarto received in the office. We were attended by a very nice Italian girl. 100% recommended.

  We had our first Northern Lights “hunting” experience with this facility. We took the minibus , so a small number of people, and after about an hour and a half from tromso we camped. The place was very nice a small flat expanse in the middle of nowhere with the sea within walking distance! Unfortunately, the aurora did not last long and was not brightly coloured. We tried to find it by removing ourselves with the bus but unfortunately it went wrong! I want to reward the boys because we finally got home at 2am and eating in the middle of the street. In general Good excursion but having done others, with other operators, maybe it is improveable or at least others have higher standards.

  Our guide Mixu was knowledgeable and fun. He helped us take pictures with our cameras and he also took amazing pictures of us with his camera. The food was absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful night under the northern lights. Part of that was due to Mixu finding a great, remote spot that wasn't crowded with other tourists. Everything was well prepared. I couldn't have asked for a better night or a better tour to go with than Wandering Owl!
