Go on the hunt for the Northern Lights in Rovaniemi. Keep the best memory of witnessing the Aurora Borealis, as a professional photographer captures the moment of you and the magical lights dancing up above you. From December to the end of January, Rovaniemi experiences a very high level of tourist traffic, which is why we often have to form exceptionally large groups for this activity. For a more private experience, we recommend that you book the Northern Lights Photography Tour - Small Group instead.

5.00Loved that it came complete with overalls and boots so that you can enjoy the lights without freezing to death! We had a really good Aurora experience. Lights were not that strong, but it colors were still vivid, and even the stars were mesmerizing, plus we got great the photos.

5.00I took part in the Northern Lights tour with a friend.Fantastica.Organizzazione perfetto.Grazie our Italian guide who followed us from the beginning to the end of the tour and thanks to the professional photographer, who captured the best images.Molto also good the hot blueberry juice that 'was offered.

5.00What a wonderful experience!! We left with 6 mini vans in search of the Northern Lights. The guide we were assigned was a super nice guide. A very relaxed and sociable young man. Finally in Sweden we got to admire the Northern Lights. What a fantastic and special experience! Special thanks to the team who are doing more than their best to give you an unforgettable evening. 5.00We joined the Northern Lights Photography Tour with our photographer ‘Deep’ on our final night at Rovaniemi. The Aurora Borealis hunting was the highlight of our holiday. The breathtaking Northern Lights in the Arctic forest was definitely a unique & worthwhile experience. Deep was a very nice & patience guide and he took several photos for my family. He even took the trouble to take photos for my wife & I even after he has already kept his camera for good (almost the end of the tour). Thanks you ‘Deep’ for the wonderful experience!!
Tourist trap

2.00Better avoid. If your tour operator or travel agent books you an excursion with Nordic Unique Travels, have them replace it. Classic “tourist trap” operator. No local management or staff (mainly Italian, Spanish, and Asian guys), no empathy or explanations about the excursion, and total disorganization (they got our pickup time wrong and we had to wait in the office for almost two hours without being able to use the bathroom). We took the “Northern Light Photo Tour” excursion and felt like we were being treated like cattle to be transported and nothing more. They loaded us onto a bus, took us to a place an hour away, and then brought us back after having a barbecue in a teepee tent. No search for the aurora, just a round trip to predefined locations. I would say very disappointing.

5.00We sent to a Northern Lights Photography Tour in a day with how likehood to see the lights, but the deam checked a good place free of clouds and they found it¡ At the end it was an amazing auroa, 2 hours wonderful lights and dancing over our heads. 5.00Super positive experience. All very helpful, from reception with Anni, to our guides, James and Andrea, to the photographer. Barbecue in a nice cozy and comfortable place, with access to the bathroom. Wide view to see aurora. We were lucky!!!

5.00A stunning night chasing the northern lights did not disappoint with a full brilliant show which our guide put us in a fantastic spot to observe. The hot berry tea really helped with the cold and learning more about what and why the northern lights are We had a full week in Lapland arranged by Nordic Unique Travel. All their pick up and tour arrangments were on time and arranged for a family (my parents and our 5 year old son) they even provided thr booster seat in the vans.
