What To Expect

The guide picks you up from your hotel and after receiving the winter adventure gear we drive to the wilderness. There we will learn to drive snowmobiles on a snowmobile safari and keep on searching the Northern Lights in the best possible area. As Aurora Borealis – Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon out of human control you need some luck to see them. Children and those who want can also sit as passengers. During the tour we will offer you a nice barbeque, something to eat for all tastes. In case of special diets or allergies, please inform us in advance.

This was an amazing experience. We were incredibly lucky to see the northern lights dancing in the sky. Truly magical. The snow mobile portion took us into the forest and was sufficient time driving through the night. The stop in the Finnish hut for hot drinks and food was much appreciated. Our guide, Channon was informative, engaging and friendly. Would have been easier to do this from Rovaniemi, rather than out of Kemi. We live and learn though.

At first, they forgot about us... for the second time. (The first time, the same agency for another activity was completely cancelled but we had already paid and make the trip from Oulu to Kemi. We are still waiting for our money back) This time, after 15 minutes waiting in Kemi, (and they confirmed the pick up place to us) we called the central. They said that we had to wait first until 20:50, then 20:30 before a taxi driver finally took us. We were there for 20:00. Then when we arrived to the activity, the guide didn't tell us his name our didn't try to speak a bit with us to say sorry or just to explain what we were doing, what we would be doing. We just had to ask all the question for him. So we managed to do the tour in snowmobile, but we had also the discovering of aurora borealis which was not possible because of the cloudy wheater. No problem, but it could at least told us that and just gave us more information about them.
