What To Expect
Join us in the forests of Jukkasjärvi to discover a fantastic winter wonderland and hopefully also see the northern lights. We start from Jukkasjärvi with a journey of about 3 kilometers into the forest. There you will find our lavvo and reindeer who are ready to take you on a trip in the forest. During the tour, hopefully the mighty northern lights will appear in the sky, but regardless, you will enjoy the silence and the beautiful nature. Afterwards, you can warm up in the spring lavvo, where light snacks and hot drinks are also served.

5.00It was amazing- the guide, all the raindeers and freding them and when they pulled the sled around. We got the heat back in our feet by the fire in the teepee tent while we were served a little snack and hot drink. And we were super Lucky with the beautifull northen light in the sky. It was also amazing fore the Kids Who got to say hello to raindeers and feed them and walk with them ..... thanks for an amazing experience

5.00Amazing experience, wonderful winter landscape, a calm that was so beautiful. Niklas was a fantastic host, took good care of us and adapted even to our needs (turned out that one of our party found it a bit scary with reindeer), which he helped with and arranged so that she too felt safe and could warm herself in the lavvo. Very cozy experience in lavvon with good Sami snacks and nice chat where we got to learn more about Sami culture. Highly recommended!

5.00A fantastic nature experience. We were so lucky that nature gave us clear stone sky, so we could enjoy the beautiful sight sitting in the slide as the guide pulled with snow scooters. Well arrived at the reindeer camp we could feed the reindeer and let ourselves pull in reindeer slide. The guide made delicious authentic Sami food on the fire while he told very vivid about the family’s way of living with and of the animals. The Northern Light was not there today, we will probably see next time 👍

5.00Niko took us out into the forest with a snowmobile sled and we stopped at some locations with beautiful, unblocked view of the night sky. It will be perfect for viewing the aurora if the weather was good. We then headed to the reindeers, who gave us a ride after being bribed with some lichen. It was amazing to interact with the reindeer who all had their own personalities and quirks. The reindeer was trained and knew the route so it was just 2 of us and the reindeer himself- Niko just had to get the reindeer started, it was so cool. Niko then brought us into his tippi where it was nice and warm, he cooked up a delicious moose-reindeer sandwich. Very informative tour, we learned about the Sami culture and reindeers. Small group size, highly recommend!

5.00For a minute it looked as if our trip would not include a reindeer sled tour and then one opened up with Niko. What a gift. Niko starts his tour at his home and it immediately feels personal and authentic. Like your friend or neighbor who grew up Sami getting together with you on the weekend to take you sled riding. We geared up and went to where Niko keeps his reindeer on the lake bed. While the day we booked was not an aurora viewing evening due to changing sky conditions it was beautiful. The reindeer were characters with lots of personality. Niko told us about his family and how they migrate the deer and after sledding he made us dinner in a tent by the lake. Bread that his mother bakes, shredded meat cooked over the flame, blueberry/lingonberry sauce with creme fresh...easily our best meal in Abisko. Highly recommend this experience. Thank you Niko!
