  Dress warm in the winter! We made 4 different stops chasing the Aurora Borealis. Guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies were provided.

  Friendly younger guide (lady) who skillfully took us through the night and to interesting Aurora places! Also friendly bus driver! Pick-up was right outside the property. So you didn't have to walk long through the cold.

  

  

  

  

• Excellent Aurora hunting tour in Yellowknife

  We used this agency twice to look for the Auroras in Yellowknife. The entire operation was polished and professional with good communication. Pickup and drop off were smooth. We went to 3 different beautiful isolated locations to view the northern lights. The best one might be the frozen Madeline Lake 30 km from the city. We saw the lights on both tours, and the second time was simply unbelievable due to crisp, clear skies and a high Kp index. The guides for both were outstanding and took photos of all the guests with the lights as the backdrop. Don’t bother fidgeting around taking picture as the guides’ amazing photos will be sent to you for downloading within 24 hours. Just spend your time enjoying this bucket list experience. This outfit is tops for price, quality and client satisfaction.

  Oh, too damn!!!!! The guide keeps looking. They say they're good, and they take a lot of photos, so they go around, they give them hot chokes and they give them cookies.

  The bus picked us up from our BNB in uptown right on time. The guide, Wilson, was a lovely young man who enthusiastically gave his spiel in English and Mandarin. He was friendly and polite throughout, and at all three spots, he eagerly took photos of individuals and groups which he sent out promptly in the morning after the tour. At our first stop, there was no sign of the Aurora, then we moved on to our second stop where we stayed quite a while...I had almost given up hope that we would see the lights when our guide came onboard and ushered us back outside. To the naked eye, it looked like wispy clouds, then we looked through our phone cameras and like magic, saw the lights! It was awesome! We returned back to our BNB after 2 am but we're so happy to have had the joy of seeing the Northern lights of Yellowknife!

  The hotel pickup arrived exactly on time. He drove about 40 to 50 minutes north. He took me to three places to see the performance. I couldn't see the first and second spots because of the clouds in the sky that day, but I could see the third spot perfectly. Thank you, tour guide.

• Would pay extra for more comfort next time

  You definitely get what you pay for, our guide was trying her best and got some excellent photos of our group which was appreciated. However, the bus was extremely cold throughout the 3-4 hour trip (it was -25 outside so partially understandable), but other busses on the night looked far more comfortable and didn't have ice buildup on the inside of the windows. The snacks provided included a small hot chocolate made from powder, and a single cookie from Walmart. We would pay the extra for a more comfortable/private tour next time.

  Bus was chilly but the tour was amazing. We were lucky and saw the aurora at all our 3 stops and our tour guide Rosa was friendly and informative. She took great pictures of us and Meade sure we had lots of hot chocolate and maple Oreos. Highly recommend.

  Wilson was a wonderful guide, taking us to a beautiful frozen lake with exceptional view of Aurora. He was endlessly patient with our demands for more Aurora pictures !

  Excellent! The bus tour turned into an exclusive van tour. Our guide, Brisa, was very friendly and gave us a lot of information about the phenomenon while guiding us through 3 lakes where it was possible to see the Northern Lights on a fantastic night with a clear sky and very intense activity. She took almost 100 photos and sent them to us right after the tour. She also made sure to keep us as warm as possible, offering hot drinks and cookies. I recommend Yellowknife Vacations for their exceptional service, quick booking of tours, friendliness, and punctuality. I'm telling this based on experience with other tour operator that didn't advise me of a cancelled tour until I called them from the lobby of the hotel where me and my family were waiting for pick up.
