  I have rated the tour we did. It wasn't what we booked though - we booked the walking tour but were told it wasn't happening so we were being taken up the cable car instead! We had already been up the cable car the same day. However, the night view was lovely and we were lucky to see the Northern lights. Gerard took some brilliant photos and taught us how to photograph the Northern lights well on our phones. He was super knowledgeable and very friendly so he saved the trip as far as we were concerned, thank you Gerard

  A great aurora hunt with our guide, professional and passionate, spending several hours on foot. With his advice and enthusiasm, the result was there! A superb moment, even without dawn, I recommend.

  This walking tour has honestly been the best northern lights tour I have ever been on, such a positive walking tour and patience to get not just a few experiences of seeing the northern lights, they encourage you to wait to see more which end up being better then before. Thank you so much.

  Easy meeting point by the old church and then a narrated walk 1km out from the city centre to a darker spot by a lake. Our guide Celine was extremely knowledge about the Northern Lights. Walked around the lake, along the cross country ski track, to get different view points. Were lucky to see the "tricky lady" for about 1 minute between the clouds. Total walk was about 3km. Tea and cookies provided to stay warm in the snow. Dress warm in winter.

  We had really a blast. Carlo, our guide, was wonderful. He took care of us during our walk through Tromsø with hot tea and cookies. About that he explained everything around Northern Lights - his passion. We were lucky because we saw very strong lights, an experience that we won’t never forget. Thanks to Carlo again. It was our pleasure.

  The whole trip was just a fantastic experience - our guide Max did his utmost to make it an unforgettable trip. Due to suboptimal weather conditions in the Tromsø area he was driving us far into Finnland to get stable aurora conditions, and yes - we did see the Northern lights!! As Max is not only a guide but also a professional photographer as well he was so supportive helping us to take pictures with our own cameras. Late in the night he also prepared a very nice Fire Camp with local reindeer sausages - marvellous. And in the early morning next day we already had a link to the Dropbox with all his professional photos. 200% recommendations for Northern Horizon and Max, as he is such an enthusiastic guide!
