We are a school group who for the 4th year in a row have brought up 30 Year 12 students from NSW as they are studying the GBR. This year was even better than any experience we have had at Ocean Safari. Firstly, Emma is fantastic at organising and ensuring everything goes smoothly with our bookings. Brandon did an incredible job presenting to the students the evening before for an hour where he ensured they had a great understanding of the value of the reef and their role in its management with Eye on the Reef. Additionally, Charly and Cody did a fantastic job guiding the students on the snorkel and through the activities. The team made it safe, entertaining and educational! Could not recommend them more.

A truly wonderful experience snorkelling on the Great Barrier in beautifully clear water. We saw a turtle, a reef shark , giant clams and many fish. We were well cared for by the friendly and knowledgeable Ocean Safari staff. Being in our late sixties was not an impediment to having an excellent time.highly recommended!!!

We were sent through the seawater before and after the trip. After the trip we had to wade about 20-30 meters through the waist-high water to the shore. The crew drove us “Don’t waste your time.” So you knew it was dangerous. Today I read in Germany that on Myall Beach a 14-year-old boy was attacked by a crocodile while fishing in the water. The beaches are life-threatening. Either you can bring the tourists dry on the boat and back again, for example via a jetty, or you are not allowed to offer the tour.

We had such an amazing time on Ocean Safari! We have three kids (6, 4 and 1), so we were a little apprehensive about heading out, but the crew were absolutely incredible. There was something for everyone, even our 1 year old loved exploring the sand island and watching the fish from the boat, while the older 2 had a blast snorkelling and playing in the sand. The crew went above and beyond to make it easy and enjoyable for everyone on board, from the littlest kids to the nervous adults. We’d highly recommend it! 🌊🐠🏝️
