Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood
The traditional style of life that was prevalent in Dubai from the mid 19th century till the 1970s is reflected at Al-Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, where buildings with high air towers (Barjeel), built with traditional building materials such as stone, gypsum, teak, sandal wood, fronds and palm wood are aligned side by side, separated by alleys, pathways and public squares, which give the district a natural and beautiful diversity.

5.00We had an amazing experience exploring Old Dubai with our guide Ali. The tour was the perfect blend of history, culture, and hidden gems that we would have completely missed on our own. Our guide explained everything so clearly from the heritage homes in Al Fahidi to the traditional wind towers, the old trading routes, and how Dubai transformed over the years. Ali was incredibly patient, friendly, and made the whole walk feel relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re visiting Dubai, this tour is a must and ask for Ali.

5.00Truly an awesome experience with Mansoor as our guide. The most delightful morning within the Old Town walking tour, taking in the river and beautiful shops. It was a very special time with friends where we learnt, laughed and explored. Mansoor surprised us with a Birthday cake as we were all celebrating my birthday,weekend - a truly unforgettable memory we all have. We are all grateful and would highly recommend this to others.

5.00Whilst on a break in Dubai with friends for a special birthday. We went on an old town tour with Mansoor. He was our tour guide for the duration, he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was entertaining and very kind to one of our group and arranged a special surprise for her birthday celebration. I would highly recommend this tour and Mansoor.

5.00We did the Old Town walking tour with Mansoor to celebrate a 50th birthday, and it was amazing! He’s such a fun, friendly, and knowledgeable guide who made the whole experience really special. The highlight was when he surprised us with a birthday cake — such a thoughtful touch! We learned a lot, laughed loads, and had the best time exploring. Highly recommend this tour (and Mansoor!) to anyone visiting!
