5.00We took a day trip to Guangzhou on a whim, and luckily Damon was available on very short (<24 hour) notice. Our ask was to eat and wander old town, and Damon was able to adapt the itinerary accordingly. We hit 9 different locations for double skinned milk, rice noodles, sesame soup, cookies, heritage tea and regional coffee, wonton noodles, and more, punctuated by nostalgic and historic stops along the way. Thank you for a great day exploring and learning!

Damon spoke good English, courteous and is an exceptional guide who even assisted us in our last minute request to visit a local pet market and helping us get there! This is a great introductory tour for first time travellers visiting Old Guangzhou.

5.00I recently returned from a holiday in GZ where my travel agent booked 3 separate tour companys to cater for my requirements. While each of the 3 tour leaders provided friendly attentive services, Damon, at Guangzhou Local Tours stood out above all 3. Huge thanks to Damon for providing me the most exceptional service. He alone began direct communication with me prior to my arrival to GZ to ascertain my needs; he would reconfirm rendezvous times daily, offered flexibility to our schedule, he was friendly, personable, informative and has the best command of the English language above the other tour leaders. I highly recommend Damon to travellers to GZ and the greater GZ. I fully intend to book with Damon for my next holiday to GZ as I did not have time to do the other exciting things to see and do that he also recommended to me.

5.00It was our first time in Guangzhou and we were in very good hands with our guide, Damon. He made a lot of preparations prior to the tour and were absolutely switched on to our needs. We communicated extensively prior to our trip to Guangzhou so that he can arrange our tour to suit our itinerary. The temperature went up to 37°C during our tour but Damon had anticipated that and arranged for a car for some parts of the tour. It was a good thing because the heat was relentless. Damon also interspersed the attractions with cafe stops and indoor places which helped a lot. Our tour was focused on Guangzhou city and Damon gave us an experience which include the old Guangzhou such as Xiguan old house community and Lychee Bay Park Opera, and everything in between, all the way to a ride on a driverless bus and shopping for grocery in a high-tech new concept Alibaba supermarket. There were so many things to see and do. Damon answered all our questions about the city and also told us about the history, myths/legends and kept us abreast about the geographical and historical significance of different parts of Guangzhou. He did an amazing job, planning the tour, taking us out in that heat(!) and patiently answering all our questions. We would definitely be asking him for another tour when we visit Guangzhou again.
