What To Expect
The Farm is located on the hills of Montevago in the Western Coast of Agrigento. There we have an Old Country house situated in the midle of the olive grove, from where you can have a great view of the valley and of the ruins of the old town. We will visit the olive grove and take a walk inside of it, talking about the cultivation of the trees and of quality controls. Simulation of Harvesting methods. After we will go inside the old country house where we will have a professional olive oil tasting and talk about technical Features of olive oil and bottle labels. Summary of the Olive Oil Experience: -Reception in the old country house of 1968 with exhibits of old country things and tools. - Food tasting paired wit our Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Lunch -Visit to the olive grove and explication of the harvesting techniques old and modern -Professional guided olive oil tasting

5.00We loved our experience at Amodeo's Farm. We love olive oil so we wanted to find an experience that would educate us about Sicilian olive oil. We selected there because we wanted to learn more about olive oil and growing and harvesting olives. Although it was not olive harvesting season, we still learned a lot. Frank was a wonderful host. The farm was easy to find navigating to the location he provided through Google maps. We were greeted warmly upon arrival. We learned about growing olive trees and harvesting olives. We also learned lots about olive oil including how to recognize quality olive oil and the flavor characteristics. We were also treated to a full Sicilian feast with so many dishes that highlighted Sicilian culture, food, and olive oil. We were blown away by our entire experience. It was a full day and one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. There was even an opportunity to make some purchases. We came home with olive oil, pasta, and olives. We can't wait to make more purchases on line from home.

5.00One of the highlights of our Sicilan adventure. Francisco will enlighten and entertain you during an immersive afternoon on his family farm. We thoroughly enjoyed the education and the hospitality. Our multi course lunch was delicious and plentiful. Of course we bought olive oil for ourselves and as gifts! A must do excursion for serious Slow Food enthusiasts.

5.00My boyfriend booked this experience for us since it was our 2-year anniversary, and he knows I love olive oil. We were there for over 4 hours, had the most amazing food, wine, and conversation about olive oil and its production. The farm and grove are beautiful; it is such a unique opportunity to see olive production from a family company at first hand. I would highly highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to have an amazing meal and time under the Sicilian sun and olive trees.

5.00Visited with family in November. Frank was such a great teacher of all things associated with olive oil. He and his wife Jodi treated us like family and the food we experienced was so fantastic and truly Sicilian cuisine. We felt a wonderful since of family maintaining the family legacy. Everyone in our family truly enjoyed this private family experience!

5.00I can't emphasize this enough - GO HERE. You won't experience anything else like it. Francesco and his team spoil you with a true experience - first a giant and enormous lunch (which we could never have finished on our best day), lessons on how olive oil is made, a tour of the ulivetto (olive grove), some live harvesting, and then some taste testing. We felt like part of the family by the time we left. I can only say I wish we had had more time - so make sure to plan for it as it is something you don't want to miss.

5.00Wow! What an extraordinary experience. Francesco and Josi were incredible. The passion with which Frank explains all the facets of olive oil is fantastic. We now know how to better buy and compare different olive oils. The food was simply excellent (and very generous) and the service was worthy of a 5-star package. The place is dreamlike with its magnificent landscapes, incredible views, and the tranquility of the surrounding olive trees. I can't imagine passing through this region without stopping by Amadeo Olive Oil place. A MUST IN SICILY!!

5.00We had an excellent time at Amodeo’s! The welcome drink, followed by lots of information, along with food, more food, followed by more food, wine, water, espresso, granita and a wealth of information, a grove tour, an olive oil tasting lesson all were incredible! And our leftover food was packaged up for us to take on our trip. I highly recommend this tour and as people have said, come hungry! We will never buy Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the cheaper alternatives again. This day changed our perspective on olive oil forever.

Francesco, at short notice, was incredibly generous with his time, information and experience. He gave us olive oil aficionado beginners such valuable information and insight about his olive farm experiences, that I believe we will be lifelong friends.
