DO NOT HESITATE ON THESE GLASSES! This is THE way to visit the site. You are immersed in what everything looked like at the time and can visualize everything you are seeing. The signage at the site is minimal and I am certain our experience would not have been even half as good if not for these glasses!!! Our kids were fascinated and totally enjoyed the visit and it was the glasses that made the difference. It is an easy and quick stop at the shop to pick them up and get instructions. Book them in advance directly. Everyone who saw us with them asked about them and wished they had gotten them too! They are an essential enhancement to the visit and so worth it! Don't miss out.

The distribution of glasses and a short video introduction will take place about 15 foot-minutes from the cash register. After we found the cash register and purchased a ticket (€20/person) for the excavation, we were ready to go. The gymnasium was located immediately after the entrance. We quickly realized that the content viewed in the VR glasses (incorrectly) could not be accessed again. A reset of the glasses should provide assistance. However, now the German language setting was gone. One call to the help hotline provided assistance (in English). Then we spent about an hour trying to find or match the locations described in THE glasses using the printed Google Maps image. The 2nd. The second half of the tour went really well, and the VR content is beautifully done. Since the sights are described in Greek, English, and German on-site, and an app called HH Guide links to German descriptions for Olympia and many other Greek attractions via QR code, we can only recommend the use of the VR guide with reservations. Moreover, there is no indication of the current location anywhere in the glasses or on the provided map.

Improbably beautiful experience! With these glasses it is really fun in Olympia and an absolute enrichment! In addition, super good guidance from the landlord. The latest gadgets in it also make it even more fun! Everyone was wildly excited. Don't hesitate, just order and be sure not to regret it!

A must do for visiting Olympia. Really get an understanding of what the site looked like. Much better than a tour IMHO. Store is in town about 5 minutes from site entrance.

Directions to the archeological site were unclear, so I walked in circles, using up about 35 minutes of my 3 hours. A map from the store would be extremely helpful. I discovered at the end, that there is a “short cut” over a pedestrian bridge. Only about 1/2 of the locations with interpretive signs (supposedly) line up with the VR, but some signs seem missing? Given this, I only got a “VR view” of 6 areas. What I did get to “work” though was super cool. I think the technology has a ways to go in development.

10/10 This was amazing! It brought everything to life! If you're going to the ruins, this is a must! It adds a perspective of what life would have really been like and looked like.very cool! It also includes audio describing what each site was. Others around us were asking where we got the VR glasses and what it looked like. Best decision! Note: the main areas are included on the VR visuals, but there are ruins on the outskirts that dont have VR videos available. But you dont really miss it. You can still scan the barcode at the site with your phone and get the history.

We had such a great time doing the Olympia VR glasses tour with the audio guide! It was such a unique way to explore the site and really brought everything to life. Being able to see how Olympia once looked while standing in the ruins was an amazing experience. The audio guide was clear, informative, and easy to follow, giving us a deeper understanding of the history without feeling overwhelming. The VR added an extra layer that made the whole visit feel much more interactive and memorable. Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Olympia, it’s a fantastic way to experience the history in a more engaging and modern way!

The VR was a cool experience. The place to pick up the VR is about 10 min walk from the ancient Olympia site. You do have to give them an ID or passport and they will keep it while you take to VR headset back to the archaeological site, so just be prepared for that. They saw you a nice video to help you learn how to use it.
