What To Expect
Scuba Dive the 2nd largest reef in the world and see thousands of fish and turtles while learning to scuba dive safely with an instructor. Featuring the world renowned PADI certification course, the largest scuba organization in the world and accepted everywhere. Includes some classroom instruction and review of your online work, shallow water skills and four Open Water Dives and all equipment needed. You will do the course work online, once you sign up for the course, we will contact you for some additional information and get you all set up with PADI so you can do the online work. It takes 6-8 hours to complete the online portion.

5.00Our experience with West Bay Divers in Roatan over New Year’s was fantastic and I strongly recommend diving with them. Our family of four completed our PADI Open Water certification plus some additional dives with Mayghan Wilson. She was not only extremely professional and knowledgeable she made the whole experience fun for everyone in the family…even the skills day. We cannot wait to go back and dive with her again. Everyone at the dive shop was a pleasure to deal with but if you can dive with Mayghan, I promise it will be awesome!

5.00I highly recommend both training and diving with West Bay Divers. I completed my Open Water Course with them, then 6 fun dives, and 1 adventure dive (night dive). My husband, who was already certified, was able to dive along with me. Mekala was an incredibly patient teacher. She gave me ample time to practice skills and made me feel comfortable at all times. The shop overall is highly professional. Dives are timely and well organized. I will definitely dive with West Bay Divers again!

Abner lead a thorough class and helped us master all the skills needed as well as led us on 4 magnificent dives. Highly recommend and not sure why I waited so long to do it. Can't wait to come back soon.

5.00I had an amazing diving experience with Takeshi and Hannah. I met them at the Kimpton Grand Roatan Resort and Spa where they provided complementary diving experience for hotel guests. The experience was so positive that I signed up for open water diving for the next day right on the spot. I was very glad I did because Takeshi and Hannah were amazing. I can't wait to go back and go out with them again!

5.00Possibly the best experience we could have imagined. Safe, informed, prepared, fun, exciting. All the staff at WestBay were amazing- so nice, welcoming and helpful. They worked as such a smooth working team and were so organized, timely but never rushed. Hands down, Chiara (Kiara) was a phenomenal master dive instructor. She took us through the PASI course and introduced us to some amazing spots. I had an exceptionally difficult time equalizing on two of the dives. My safety was her top priority, but she also knew all the tips to make me feel successful. Her patience, understanding and guidance paired with her love and passion for not only diving but teaching is unmatched. Thank you for making. Our trip to Roatan unforgettable and with us ready to come back for more.

5.00Before arriving in Roatan, I emailed a few shops about getting my boyfriend open water certified. It had been a couple years since my last dive, so I needed a refresher as well. Wayne at West Bay Divers was quick to respond and the only one who sent me a detailed itinerary of what that would look like if we wanted to dive together. My boyfriend did the open water course while I did a refresher and fun dives with Mekela. She is an amazing instructor and it was clear from the start that safety is her priority. She made sure we both knew what we were doing and what to expect on every dive. She did a great job pointing out the beautiful marine life and teaching us how to spot some of it ourselves. West Bay Divers does a great job keeping the diver to instructor ratio small so nothing gets overlooked or missed. I would recommend West Bay Divers and Mekela to anyone who is already a diver or who wants to take a diving course. You will have the best time and see some amazing marine life!!!
