The Original Sound of Music Schnitzel is a small turkey cutlet dipped in flour and beaten egg; salt & pepper added; fried in hot oil and served with noodles and cheese sauce – parmesan or gorgonzola. A special dish created by the composers

See the beautiful Mirabell Gardens where the song "Do-Re-Mi" was filmed. After or before joining the tour, we recommend seeing the gardens on your own exploring the Pegasus Fountain as well as the Do-Re-Mi steps.

You'll pass by the Nonnberg Convent, where Maria was a novice and got married to Baron von Trapp.

5.00Perfect for Sound of Music fans and those wanting to know more about the film, the original Trapp family, and Salzburg. Brigette was an awesome tour guide! Really enjoyed singing along to the film with a bus full of strangers from across the world. Such fun!

3.00Tour guide and driver themselves were great. We did the Schnitzel and Noodle edition of the tour. I understand it's a 4hr tour and that you won't be able to see everything, but you barely got maybe 15-20 minutes at the gazebo and Schloss Leopoldskron, even less than that at the gardens at the end of the tour. We were given almost an hour though to visit the church, which was overkill. At the end of the tour, if you opted for the meal you are on your own with a voucher and have to find your way to the restraunt without the rest of the tour group.

4.00The group was too large to enjoy the sights. The guide did her best job to “tour” the group but the group size was so large and diverse that it is near impossible for even an exceptional guide to provide exceptional, individual service. I would strongly suggest people look for a smaller group sound of music tour to enjoy the best possible experience.

5.00We really enjoyed the your. Our guide Bridgett was great & fun. But I had 2 concerns: She didn’t wait until everyone was off the bus to start walking to the points of interests. Also we did the dinner after, which was very nice, but the directions to the restaurant were HORRIBLE!

5.00What a blast! Our tour guide Jose was delightful! He absolutely relished the music of The Sound of Music! He shared his love of the movie and Salzburg with great joy! At the sight of Maria singing, "I Have Confidence," Jose enlisted several members of our tour, to join arms and sing and dance down the path singing! As our bus climbed the mountain, he loudly played, "The Hills are Alive!" It was so moving, it brought me to tears! Jose had the whole bus joining him in song several times singing, "Do Re Me" and "The Lonely Goatherder!" It was such fun! Jose clearly loves his job and totally immerses his flock in his passion for "The Sound of Music!" Don't miss this tour!!

5.00What a lovely experience. Kylie was very knowledgeable and friendly and it was amazing to watch the driver (Evo/Ivo) maneuver that big bus into narrow places. They made the experience comfortable and they gave us the information we needed to get the most out of our tour. We will tell all of our family and friends about this wonderful memory - not to be missed!
