A great way to experience the old town of Annapolis feel, the architecture and history while delving into one’s sketch and learning all about watercolors. Very patient teacher, able to build on whatever level one has. Engaging. Inspiring. A must.

I did this with my eight-year-old grandson for his birthday. He had a great time and enjoyed learning new painting techniques. Em is an excellent teacher, explaining things very clearly and giving suggestions on how to make your painting your own. I highly recommend this activity.

My girlfriend and I took a watercolor class with an instructor, where we painted a prominent building in Annapolis. The instructor provided all the materials and supplies, making it super easy for us to dive right in. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining, which made the experience even more enjoyable. As we worked on our paintings, people passing by couldn’t help but comment on how cute our little date was. We would definitely book the watercolor class again!

This workshop was delightful! Em is a true professional and an expert in the medium of watercolor, yet her teaching style is relaxed, encouraging and a lot of fun! I used to be intimidated by watercolor, but Em de-mystified it and I ended up painting something I’m actually quite proud of. For each student, she had pre-sketched an outline of what we were painting in pencil so that we could focus on learning watercolor technique instead of frustrating ourselves trying to draw something we liked from scratch. I was surprised by how flexible and forgiving watercolor can be! My favorite part was seeing how each person’s painting turned out so unique to them. I would absolutely recommend this workshop to anyone interested in learning more about watercolor or anyone interested in experiencing a fun and interesting way to observe and enjoy downtown Annapolis!
