I cannot say enough good things about our 5 day trip from #1 all the way down the Zambezi. While the Botoka Gorge deeply cut basalt gorge speaks for it's self, the whitewater thrilling, it's really the crew that makes the difference on such a long multi-day trip. Kevias Zulu (our TL) was incredible both in his leading, guiding us safely, knowledge or the area, and his amazing story telling. This guy trains Oars Guides (look them up) when they come down to do the Zam and will be leading the first source-to-sea trip of the Zambezi over a 6 month period (so book soon to get this OG). Big Ben (our Gear Boat captain and backcountry chef) is a true legend. From pushing a fully loaded gear boat (with all of our supplies) for six days down huge Class IVs and Vs, chef-ing it up with incredible local meals (3-times-per-day), and keeping the party going at camp; he really did it all. Ben is the kinda guy that you'd be lucky to do a 21 day Grand Canyon trip with. Windus aka Shema Man (our Safety Kayaker and Shem Chef) was just incredible to watch. He was always in the right eddy in-case something happened to us in the raft. The one time I did fall out on The Mother, he was right there almost immediately. Windus is an incredible man and even better kayaker; it was a true pleasure getting to spend time with him on the river. Also, I bet you can't dance better than Windus. Jericho and July (our Porters and Fisherman) were always the most thoughtful and hard-working on the river. Whether it was loading and unloading the gear-boat daily, portaging 150m+ around some gnarly falls, or setting up tents in the rain. The trip wouldn't have been the same without them. Book your next trip with Bundu and ask for Kevias, Big Ben, Windus, Jericho, and July :-)

Two and half amazing days of adventure and joy. Adrenalina was high as we went through the many challenging rapids but we always felt safe in the hands of the team leader Kevias. He knows the river and the rapids well and took time to prepare us properly (even scouting in advance for the more challenging parts). Kevias was leading a very competent team with Windasi taking care of the safety and Kelvin (black lizard😊) in charge of the gear boat. A special note to “chief” Ben. It is a mastery how anyone can cook so well in a camping! No idea this was possible. There were many other people involved that made our adventure unforgettable. Thank you very much to you all. Keep up the great job!
