Warwick Castle
Over a thousand years of history are waiting to be discovered at this fantastic medieval castle. Set against the River Avon within 64 acres of landscaped parkland, this beautiful castle once belonged to the most powerful man in England, The Earl of Warwick. Learn how the 'Kingmaker' was the only man who dared defy the King, and how he defeated the armies of King Edward IV in battle before taking the King himself as a prisoner. Explore the lavishly decorated State Rooms and 17th-century Great Hall; a room boasting an impressive collection of artefacts including suits of armour and medieval weapons. In the castle's 14th-century gaol, the original dungeon, see graffiti left behind by prisoners hundreds of years ago. How many names can you spot?
Stratford-upon-Avon
This picturesque market town is most famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare, widely regarded to be the greatest writer in English literature and the world's preeminent dramatist.

Very disappointing the time was given for Warwick castle. It was set as the last stop and the tour arrived 3:30pm letting us only 30 min to rush inside the castle. On our way back I told the guide and he said that he was not aware they close at 4pm which makes me doubt about it since he said he is working on this tours for more than 18 years.

Our guide Simon was fantastic. The tour itself was good. The Warwick castle could be a bit disappointing if you are a group of adults, as we were, however, it would be very nice for small kids. It is run essentially as a theme park so it was a bit gimmicky for our tastes and light on the history you might find at some other older castles in Europe. Stratford upon Avon was fine, however, for us the highlight of the trip was Oxford. The only problem is that the allotted time at Oxford was not nearly long enough. The other 2 stops could have been shorter. But obviously that depends on what your interests are. Overall, I recommend the excursion especially if you're lucky enough to get a great guide like we had who was extremely knowledgeable and full of fun facts!

It was a good trip. I went with my parents and my 6 year old son, and everyone enjoyed it. Simon did a wonderful job narrating the trip. Some of the stops were a little short, and you had to pick and choose what to do or not do. The history of the castle was well covered.

Warwick Castle was great! Stratford and Oxsford was ok. Our tour guide Authur Godfrey was a little strange and he told the ones right behind us that we couldn't talk because it would break his concentration and he did get on to us if we did talk. We didn't appreciate it at all.

The coach left the station 10 mins before. We couldn't reach in time as there was difficulty in finding the station. But we were not allowed to reschedule again the same tour again. I understand that we have to book directly the tour partners and not through viator
