We can thoroughly recommend this tour. Sam was an excellent guide who kept us entertained all afternoon. We learnt so much about the history of Oxford and the college system of the University. You can see that Sam really enjoys doing the tours as his enthusiasm shines through. He is a wonderful young man in all respects, engaging, respectful and a great ambassador for Footprint tours. See you at Fratton Park one day Sam! Cheers, Rodney

I had an excellent tour with Sam, who clearly knows the university inside out. He was hugely entertaining, with a wonderfully dry sense of humour and plenty of jokes along the way, including a few at the expense of Cambridge! The tour blended serious history with funny stories about student pranks, college feuds and some of Oxford’s stranger traditions, all delivered in a very engaging way. It was worth every penny and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oxford. One tip: if you go in the colder months, wrap up warm as you’ll be standing outside listening to the guide for some of the time.

We had a great experience on our walking tour of Oxford University, led by Shree, a current PhD student! She had an incredible depth of knowledge on the history of the university, we were very impressed with how she remembered the names of countless historical figures, scholars, and alumni without hesitation. We also appreciated her flexibility as we were late in arriving due to traffic, and she graciously waited on us before beginning. She also allowed us to pop into a gift shop mid-tour to do a little shopping, so she was very accommodating to our needs. Overall, this tour was a fantastic way to learn about the university, and we highly recommend to anyone visiting Oxford. Shree was very passionate, knowledgeable, and thoughtful which made our experience very memorable.
