Pacaya Volcano
Pacaya Volcano is one of Guatemala’s most active and accessible volcanoes, located about an hour south of Guatemala City. It rises to over 2,500 meters (8,200 feet) and is known for frequent lava flows, steam vents, and volcanic ash activity. Such a well-organized and memorable tour. The guide balanced humor with tons of interesting facts about Pacaya’s eruptions and the local communities. The volcanic pizza was a highlight and something I’ll be talking about forever.

Epic is the right word. The hike had incredible views and felt adventurous without being overwhelming. The guide made the group feel like friends by the end. The marshmallows roasted over volcanic vents were such a cool bonus.

Guide does an amazing job explaining everything along the way. The volcanic pizza was honestly delicious — crispy, hot, and cooked right there using the earth’s heat. Marshmallows at sunset sealed the deal. Would definitely recommend!

The hike up Pacaya wasn’t as challenging as we thought it would be, and completely worth it. Eating pizza cooked by the volcano’s heat at the top felt like a reward you can’t get anywhere else. Guy kept the group motivated with jokes and fascinating stories about the volcano.
