What To Expect
*Please note that the PADI Fee (for the PADI Open Water Diver Manual and PADI certification costs) of total 70 Euros is not included in the course fee. If you want to take the theory of the course online (eLearning) you have to purchase the materials on the PADI website and register for PADI OWD eLearning with our Divinguru Nilaveli, PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, S-23912. Minimum Certification Age is 10 Yrs+ Course Content: The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: 1. Five Knowledge Development sessions (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving 2. Five Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills and demonstrate confidence in the water (10-minute swim/float and 200m swim) 3. Four Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore! Schedule: The course takes around 3.5 to 5 days and you start every day at 8.30 am, the knowledge development and confined water training takes 1-2 days (depending on your skills) and for the open water dives 2-3 days.

5.00Divinguru Nilaveli is a very professional organization with high standards for their staff and equipment. I had Norbert as my diving instructer who could explain things very well and he also was very patient. After the pool session I felt safe to start exploring the open water. I would definitely recommend choosing this diving school!

5.004 days of pure happiness for my PADI Open Water with Alexis! Instructor at the top involved, passionate, pedagogue and reassuring! We managed to follow the whole program while refusing the world xD The club is great the hyper family Mood I felt at home:) After the theory and practice pool it is the turn of the dives at sea and there is only happiness; I feasted!! Thank you for this amazing experience 🌊🐠 and for sure I will not stop there!!

5.00Divinguru August 2025. Family Warm thanks to the great Divinguru team After studying the different options, we chose Divinguru Nilaveli to dive during our family trip to Sri Lanka. This club's really on top. All very professional, available and friendly. Perfectly oiled organization under the coordination of Norbert and Ellie which is old to every detail. Instructors, Various Masters and local boat team form a tight-knit team. New material, good quality and maintained. Prepared in advance, organized for 2 dives in the morning and carried on the boats. Our two teenagers were very lucky to take their OWD with Alexis, an excellent teacher who taught them in French and English. Very patient, attentive and funny, he ensured that the basics of technique and safety were well mastered over the 4 days, including the last 2 sea dives with us thanks to Ellie! On our side 10 very nice fun dives thanks to Martina, a young DM very pro on organization and security, as well as Adam who makes us discover with enthusiasm the wonders of the bottom near Pigeon Island. Easy organization to think only about diving. A/R in Tuk-Tuk from our hotel every day on time, very good lunches at the restaurant right next door and the possibility to enjoy the beautiful beach in the afternoon. A very nice week.

5.00We have completed our PADI Open Diver course here at Divinguru in Nilaveli. Our instructor Norbert was a great teacher and we had a lot of fun during our dives! We felt very safe with him and at the same time it was a very exciting 3 days. I would recommend everyone to book their course or normal dives here. We'll be back!

5.00I spent 4 days with Divinguru to get the PADI Open Water in Nilaveli Trincomalee and I couldn't have had a better experience!! My Open Water Padi in Nilaveli consisted of: - First day theory and then exam. - Second day: all day at the pool. They are the only diving center that has a pool by the way. - Third day: two dives. - Fourth day: two more dives. The entire team are true professionals, which I value very much since I have always had a deep respect for diving. The trust that our instructors Norbert and Kartik gave me was exceptional. There is a good atmosphere among the staff and with clients both in the diving center and on the boat on the way to the spots. I can confirm that everyone working at Divinguru loves what they do and thus manages to transmit it to the divers, regardless of our experience and level. It has been a pleasure to spend these days with you. Thank you very much Hans, Renate, Norbert, Kartik, Eli, Marcus, Darsana, Dinu, Silva and the rest of the local team. See you soon!🫶
