What To Expect
*Please note that the PADI Fee (for the PADI Open Water Diver Manual and PADI certification costs) of total 70 Euros is not included in the course fee. If you want to take the theory of the course online by PADI OWD eLearning you have to purchase it on the PADI website and register for PADI OWD eLearning with our diving centre Divinguru Unawatuna, PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, S-36133. Minimum Certification Age is 10 Yrs+ Course Content: The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: 1. Five Knowledge Development sessions (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving 2. Five Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills and demonstrate confidence in the water (10-minute swim/float and 200m swim) 3. Four Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore! Schedule: The course takes around 3.5 to 5 days and you start every day at 8.30 am, the knowledge development and confined water training takes 1-2 days (depending on your skills) and for the open water dives 2-3 days.

5.00I had an amazing time completing my dive certification with Divinguru. Ellie was an outstanding instructor, clear, patient, and focused on safety while keeping everything super fun and relaxed! The team was professional, the equipment was great, after a day in the pool I felt really confident to then go into the open water! I will definitely be back to do continue my diving learning! 5.00Very good diving center with an individual approach of the diving instructor, making you feel relaxed and comfortable, if it's your first experience in the open ocean. Loved the experience and fell in love with diving because of this center! Would really recommend, worth every penny.

5.00I just participated in the PADI Open Water course and the whole experience with Dive Guru was great. I had a couple of questions and they were super quick to respond to these via email and WhatsApp. We had Ellie and Norbert as instructors during the course they both had a great sense of enthusiasm and calm which made the whole experience top notch. 5.00Started my year doing my PADI open water diver course. Geethanjali was my instructor she explained everything very clearly and gave the time & patience needed if I did not understand something first time. She installed the importance of things like BWRAF x Dilak drove the boat on both my days and was friendly and quick to help when needed. Highly recommend using these guys x thank you x

5.00I took the course with my boyfriend and we had the best experience! From the beginning our instructor, Ellie, was super welcoming and open, she made it feel like a super fun experience - even the theory part. Throughout the course we felt like safety was always number 1 priority and everyone seemed very professional. We had fun the entire time and at no point did we feel unsafe. A huge thanks to Ellie, the sweetest and greatest instructor. We highly recommend divinguru to anyone who’s interested in diving!
