This was one of the best ever holiday experiences that we have done. Catia is a fantastic host. She met us at the market and explained all the various different fruit and vegetables available. She then walked us around the central area. Her knowledge of and passion for her city was incredible. It was like going on a private walking tour. We then went to her house where she thought us how to make pasta of different kinds, fillings, starters/ finger food and Tiramasu. She was so patient explaining everything and getting us involved with it all. We then got to eat what we made along with a few glasses of wine. This is an absolute "must do" if you are visiting Padua. You won't find better than Catia in terms of her welcome, teaching and knowledge of the area and her cooking. We would highly recommend booking with her.

Had a fabulous few hours with Catia. Learnt so much about the history of local dishes and then enjoyed learning to make some of them. Catia is so willing to share her knowledge and accommodate your food preferences it made the whole experience wonderful. We saw some amazing fennel bulbs in the market and she bought some and showed me how to make an amazing dish which I will definitely try at home. All about eating locally and seasonally which made it very special, pumpkin ravioli was delicious. Definitely don’t have breakfast if you go on this experience, so many different and delicious things to eat. Loved every minute of my time with Catia and really hope can enjoy another lunchtime experience with her when returning to Padova in the Spring. Thank you Catia

Catia is phenomenal as a teaching chef AND also as host and a tour guide. Beyond her knowledge of cooking, her sharing of her knowledge about Italy and Padova added so much to the experience. It was wonderful to start in Piazza Del Erbe. A perfect start to spend time at the 800 year old market and move through the city and then to her lovely home to learn her recipies and do hands on cooking. Her joyous nature and her hospitality added a whole other level of enjoying getting to have hands on learning of Italian cuisine. I loved all of it and what we cooked was fabulous! I highly recommend this experience!

I was with 3 of my friends visiting Padua and we decided to try our hand at making pasta. From the moment we got out of the cab, we were welcomed like family. Catia was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She was very patient with us as beginners. Her home was very clean and a beautiful table was set for us to eat at. She picked a pumpkin out of her garden, cooked it and had it ready for the filling in our ravioli. She also picked fresh tomatoes and basil out of her garden for the sauce on our spaghetti. She took us step by step through making ravioli, tortellini and spaghetti. She made appetizers that melted in your mouth. The pasta dishes were so yummy and we finished the meal with the tiramisu we made. A few glasses of red wine were drank throughout the night. The whole evening was a great experience to share with friends. We were there for over 4 hours. I would do this again. It was so much fun. Definity worth the price.

I don’t know where to start with this experience. Is it from Catia’s amazing hospitality, great knowledge and warm character or from amazing food with incredible taste or priceless hands-on cooking experience with her own recipes. But I know for sure that this is one of the musts if you visiting Podova (Padua), you want to not only eat but to learn to make such delicious food and learn about Padova from the local people. Can’t recommend enough to meet Catia and spend time with her, she is amazing! P.S. There is one thing I would like to advise everyone! There’s going to be a lot of great and delicious Italian food, so don’t go there with after having a hefty breakfast!

Catia was incredible! She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and a patient teacher. By the end of the class we were stuffed and gained lots of skills for making two kinds of pasta and Tiramisu. She went above and beyond to accommodate me (as a vegan) which was so kind and generous of her. She was very sweet with our 9 yo son and 11 yo daughter, making sure they enjoyed themselves too. I recommended her to my friends whom we traveled with and they booked with her for the next day. It was truly a unique authentic Italian cooking class!

I organized the bachelorette party by Catia proposing to the bride and friends a cooking class! What about... we had a great time!!! Catia is a friendly and nice hostess, excellent cooking teacher. With her we learned how to make bigoli al torchio, stuffed pasta and chocolate cake. The satisfaction of finally being able to eat everything we have prepared in a place surrounded by nature... is priceless! Congratulations!
