What To Expect
The rich cultural and natural beauty of Waikīkī is highlighted in songs and dances of the life-giving streams that still flow into the heart of Waikīkī today, and the tender stories of Hawaiiʻs beloved monarchs, their love for their people and this famed place. Meet our kamaʻāina, our local islanders who will share with you some of the hana noʻeau (cultural arts) they grew up with here in Waikīkī. Kui lei – string a floral adornment perfect to wear for the evening’s festivities. Tatau Pasefika – tattoos can be found all throughout Polynesia. Learn about its significance and perhaps brave a temporary tattoo for the Pāʻina. And hula of course… Pāʻina Waikīkī is full of music and hula and so we invite everyone to join in.

5.00So much fun! The dancing and fire show were amazing. The buffet was delicious featuring fresh fish, prime rib and for desert a pineapple upside down cake, coconut cake and pineapple chunks that were literally best pineapple I’ve ever eaten

1.00The show is in a hotel with no atmosphere. The show itself is okay, however, I do not think it is worth more than $40 per person for the show only. An overpriced shame, which I can’t understand being rated so highly by TripAdvisor.

1.00The performers were pretty good but the show itself was a bit cheesy. We enjoyed the live band. But don’t believe the good reviews about the food. The food was terrible. The prime rib, the sweet potatoes, and the desserts were ok. Everything else was not. We wanted a more authentic luau but we opted for this one because it was closer to our hotel. I wish we would have saved the $600. I definitely do not recommend. Again, the performers were pretty good but that does not justify the exorbitant price.

4.00We chose this luau as it came highly recommended for the food and entertainment. It did not disappoint! We opted for the VIP seating as my mom is using a wheelchair due to limited mobility, though she can walk short distances. It is held on the roof top of the Marriott. Our seats were in the very front so we had an upclose experience, though slightly off to the side. It was buffet style, which was a bit awkward. I went with my mom and got her a plate, then had to go back for myself. The food was delicious, especially the pork and prime rib. The performance was AWESOME!! I highly recommend the Paina Waikiki Luau if you are looking for one.
