The rich cultural and natural beauty of Waikīkī is highlighted in songs and dances of the life-giving streams that still flow into the heart of Waikīkī today, and the tender stories of Hawaiiʻs beloved monarchs, their love for their people and this famed place. Meet our kamaʻāina, our local islanders who will share with you some of the hana noʻeau (cultural arts) they grew up with here in Waikīkī. Kui lei – string a floral adornment perfect to wear for the evening’s festivities. Tatau Pasefika – tattoos can be found all throughout Polynesia. Learn about its significance and perhaps brave a temporary tattoo for the Pāʻina. And hula of course… Pāʻina Waikīkī is full of music and hula and so we invite everyone to join in.

Interesting experience. A bit of history about Hawaii, Polynesia and Waikiki. The performers are top notched. Costumes were colourful and attractive. Buffet was ok. A little pricey but acceptable. The venue was small so not really necessary to buy VIP tickets. Save your money for beverages.

If you have ever wondered what it feels like to set a few hundred dollars on fire while watching a hotel banquet, Pāʻina Waikīkī has you covered. Everything the one-star reviews warned about? Yup, that was our night too. The only thing missing was the rain, which honestly might have added some much-needed ambiance. The premium price gets you a view of other confused tourists, buffet food that tastes like it was mad at us personally, and a vibe that screams conference banquet with a side of hula. The marketing promises an intimate beachfront luau. Reality check: it is on a rooftop deck, surrounded by concrete and hotel railings, with all the authenticity of a timeshare presentation. The cultural activities felt rushed and box-checky, and the whole evening had the energy of, "Please hurry up and finish so we can reset this space for tomorrow." For this cost, we could have had an actually good dinner in Waikīkī, drinks included, and still have change left over for shave ice and dignity. Instead, we got lukewarm buffet lines, cramped seating, and a show that, while the performers clearly work hard, is wrapped in such a cynical, overpriced package that it is hard to enjoy. If you are on the fence: do not give it a try as we did. Believe the one-star reviews. Learn from our mistakes. Your wallet and your evening deserve better.

Yes. It's expensive. Yes. It's so worth it! The food, the dancing, the music and the atmosphere, everything was amazing.

This was so beautiful!! I was super impressed with all of the different cultural hula dances and several quick costume changes. The food was good and the staff were kind. It was a great time!

The buffet food was not that good. Fish was dry, even the desserts and pineapple was a disappointment. We spent $300+. That would have bought us dinner at Four Seasons. The entertainment was average.

The waitress was extremely rude to not only my party but the people surrounding us. She made us feel rushed with every course of the meal.
