The rich cultural and natural beauty of Waikīkī is highlighted in songs and dances of the life-giving streams that still flow into the heart of Waikīkī today, and the tender stories of Hawaiiʻs beloved monarchs, their love for their people and this famed place. Meet our kamaʻāina, our local islanders who will share with you some of the hana noʻeau (cultural arts) they grew up with here in Waikīkī. Kui lei – string a floral adornment perfect to wear for the evening’s festivities. Tatau Pasefika – tattoos can be found all throughout Polynesia. Learn about its significance and perhaps brave a temporary tattoo for the Pāʻina. And hula of course… Pāʻina Waikīkī is full of music and hula and so we invite everyone to join in.

Very poor food for the cost. Prime rib was tuff and rest of the food was very mediocre. The dancers were good but really the cost of the whole show was not worth going to.

As a Kama’aina, I’m always looking to see if a lūau is watered down. THIS lūau is NOT watered down. The food - ONO! The dancers and singers are having a BLAST! The best part was learning about the history of Waikīkī. Mahalo NUI!

Choose a different one. Food was ehh. In a private patio so you can’t see the ocean. No pig cooked in the ground.

I had such an amazing experience at the Paina Waikīkī Luau! The atmosphere was beautiful, the performances were incredible, and the energy throughout the night was so special. The dancers, music, and storytelling made the experience feel authentic and unforgettable, and the food was delicious as well. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and you can truly tell how much effort and passion goes into creating such a wonderful experience. Definitely something I would recommend to anyone visiting Waikīkī! 🌺✨

The dancers, music and story were good. The food was ok, prime rib was tough. What I didn’t realize when I booked this excursion was that it was held on a roof top patio, not on a grassy spot with a water view like I expected. I also didn’t appreciate the MC begging for applause frequently.
