What To Expect
The rich cultural and natural beauty of Waikīkī is highlighted in songs and dances of the life-giving streams that still flow into the heart of Waikīkī today, and the tender stories of Hawaiiʻs beloved monarchs, their love for their people and this famed place. Meet our kamaʻāina, our local islanders who will share with you some of the hana noʻeau (cultural arts) they grew up with here in Waikīkī. Kui lei – string a floral adornment perfect to wear for the evening’s festivities. Tatau Pasefika – tattoos can be found all throughout Polynesia. Learn about its significance and perhaps brave a temporary tattoo for the Pāʻina. And hula of course… Pāʻina Waikīkī is full of music and hula and so we invite everyone to join in.

1.00The rainy and very windy weather prevented anyone from enjoying the show or the food. I find it hard to believe the hotel did not have proper preparations for weather no cover no tarp nothing. Very disappointing.

4.00What could have been an amazing evening was unfortunately cut short due to inclement weather. The show had to be abbreviated because of the rain, which was disappointing—but safety comes first. Despite that, the performers still gave it their all! The dancers, singers, and fire performers were absolutely fantastic and brought so much energy to the stage. The buffet food was good, and the service was excellent—special shoutout to Luther, who went above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable despite the weather. 3.00The waitresses were impatient. They rushed 3/4 of the way through with the drinks. They collected tickets and my mom provided her ticket for the drink then when they brought the drink they accused her of not giving a ticket. They rushed and took my husbands dinner plate before he was finished. The event was very expensive and not worth the $600 we paid for an 1.5 hour event. Very disappointed and would NOT recommend. 4.00Food and entertainment was good! Check in was 5:30…dinner & show was done at 7pm. Seemed very rushed. Plus it rained-gave us pool towels to cover us.

5.00Marriott Luau was very entertaining. Also history about Queen was something that needs to continue years and years to keep her memory alive. Prime rib was delicious. Entire evening was enjoyable.

5.00Excellent luau show in all respects. My wife and I did the show only option. Despite sitting way in the back, we had a clear view of the stage. We especially liked that there was a performer on a platform near the back who did the same dances that were taking place on the main stage. That way, we got to see a closer view of the different dances. The emcee gave good explanations of each dance regarding history and culture. All performances were well done, and the dancers interacted well with the audience. Staff who greeted us and served our table were friendly and efficient. All in all, we had a great time.
