Pamukkale's tour will begin with the ancient city of Hierapolis. Hierapolis is one of the most important settlements during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The theater which has been recently restored is worth seeing. The other place which is going to be visited during the Pamukkale tour is Pamukkale namely “Cotton Castle”. With its spectacular formations of travertine, Pamukkale is welcoming you into a world of wonders. The natural hot spring pool is going to be one of the most precious moments of your Pamukkale tour.
After passing a day full of history and a little relaxation in the spring pool during your Pamukkale tour we wish you a pleasant stay and rest. Depending on group gusto, we have the chance to visit Jewelry, Leather, Carpet, or Ceramic centers.

Our guide Alperen was great with his directions, history lessons and overall demeanour, making the site tour and bus ride enjoyable. A previous review is correct in that it would have been helpful to know that the Cleopatra pools were closed (also seems they have been closed for some time) and this should have been advised prior to the tour so that visitors could opt out if they wished. The other note, which is the main reason for the average review is the Onyx shop. It wasn't listed in the itinerary, and perhaps this is because the organiser knows this shop is a scam. Unfortunately, we fell for this scam and paid greatly as a result. Not to mention another review being accurate in the staff literally stalking you in the store, which made for a creepy experience that we ended up ignoring, only to be had anyway by one of the nicer staff. If you do this tour, learn from our mistake: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THE ONYX SHOP.

Our tour guide Erman was very informative in providing us information about the history and culture of the area. He also answered all our questions patiently. Thank you Erman!

This was an incredible day! I can’t say enough wonderful things about our guide, Alperen! He was so informative and enthusiastic about our day plans. The ruins were majestic and the Pamukkale pools were breathtaking. There was ample time at each location. Temperatures were nice, but if you are going in July and August be sure to bring an umbrella and water. This is a 10/10!!!

This was a neat trip to see the travertine’s and Hierapolis! The tour went smoothly and selim (guide) and the driver (John?) were very kind. Highlights: hieropolis theatre was spectacular! Travertines were really cool and beautiful colour! Lowlights: crazy crowded unfortunately due to public holiday. HOT (bring lots of water). I didn’t personally need or enjoy the two stops to the rock and Turkish delight shops especially since the day is already so long being that pemukkale is such a distance from Izmir! My feedback regarding the information provided on the tour would be that there is improvement needed. Selim was kind and did know some of the origins of words like theatre and things and some light facts. But otherwise there was very little history or information provided around the region, the sites or what they were used for. I asked a few questions and didn’t really get any answers per se. I realized this comparison after I attended the Ephesus tour a few days after this one and realized how drastic a difference there was where my tour guide there provided so much knowledge and information about Turkey, its history and all the different sites. Overall it was an okay tour. But I really wanted to see pemukkale and I’m very glad I did despite the lowlights! If you can, I would recommend renting a car and doing this on your own so you can get to the travertine’s before the crowds! It would be so much nicer! I’ll definitely do that if I return again!
