5.00If you are looking for the perfect tour for your time in Panama, look no further. Oliver is the man. Our group of 4 had a wonderful experience on our private half day tour of Casco Viejo, Amador, and the Miraflores gate of the canal, and we learned so much from Oliver about the history of it all. Oliver was professional, communicative, friendly, and engaging. He accommodated our timing, and he ensures each group arrives at the canal at the perfect time to see a ship pass through the lock (he even showed us how he uses an app to track the progress of the very ship we would later see at Miraflores). As we learned, Panama has been at the center of geopolitical maneuvering for hundreds of years. As the tour progressed, Oliver revealed pieces of this history and by the end, they all fell into place. We would recommend this tour to anyone.

He is thoroughly knowledgeable in not only Panama history but also external events and politics that had bearing on Panama’s existence and development. His pride in guiding guests through his country is evident. While watching for our safety throughout the day, he was able to answer (in excellent English) every single question we asked. If you are looking for a personable, knowledgeable and caring person to guide you in Panama we definitely recommend Oliver. We feel we made our first friend in Panama and learned so much more than expected.
