What To Expect
Enjoy the scenery of Playa La Ensenada while driving an ATV. It's an opportunity to appreciate its colorful boats, the marina in the distance, the local people preparing for fishing, the seabirds flying overhead, and the color of the sand.
Enjoy a walk along this spectacular river that runs through the mountain range toward the sea. Along its bed, you'll find all kinds of vegetation, birds, and other animals such as frogs and lizards, among others. Its beautiful waters invite you to stay for hours. On more than one occasion on our tour we will pass by this river, which you will also have the opportunity to cross with the ATV team.

5.00We were absolutely stoked! Our adventure began when we were picked up from the hotel in Panama City in the afternoon and headed towards to San Carlos coast. Once there, we hopped into an off-road vehicle and cruised along secluded roads through the forest, crossing small rivers along the way. The best part? You have the option to drive yourself or let the guide take the wheel. When we reached the summit, we were treated to a visit to a picturesque tiny waterfall. Even during the dry season, the waterfall was still visible, although it's not the largest in the world you can swim on the river and jump off of it. The surrounding scenery, however, was absolutely stunning! Since we went in the afternoon, we had the entire place to ourselves, driving back as the sky turned a deep red-orange during sunset. Overall, it was an amazing experience with friendly tour operators who speak English. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a fantastic day out.

3.00Our driver's name was Mario. Took us to and from the excursion. Good guy. When we got there, there was an older Cuban/American gentleman and his side kick whose names escapes me. They were both good guys. The price for the excursion states that it is pretty much $200 per person. There were 3 people in my group. You would think that means that each person would get their own vehicle to drive. Like in all the other ATV excursions we have taken. And there have been many. Nope! When we got there, we told there would be only 1 vehicle for all 3 of us. I had to talk to the company owner to ask about this. He ended up agreeing to 2 vehicles for no extra cost. But If we wanted a 3rd vehicle, it would cost an extra $150. We decided on the 2 vehicles. But we still had a good time. First time I have ridden an ATV in the rain. And it rained hard and a lot! So much so that the tour had to be cut it short as it was progressively becoming dangerous. So if you are going to book this tour, try to do it outside of the rainy season. Still it was lot of fun but they either need to make it clear on the excursion page that per person does not equate to each person gets a vehicle...or come down on that price.

5.00We had a blast! I traveled to Panama with my grandson and we had a free day so we booked this tour. It turned out to be a GREAT choice! Declan got to do most of the driving as we traveled up the mountains and back down to the beach. Declan can’t stop telling people how much fun we had. When we get back to Panama we will definitely do this again!!!!
