Miraflores Visitor Center
Panama Canal. Here, travelers will witness one of the greatest engineering wonders in the world. From the observation decks, you’ll be able to watch massive cargo ships and cruise vessels passing through the Miraflores Locks, as they are lifted and lowered between sea levels on their journey between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Inside the visitor center, guests can explore interactive exhibits that explain the history, construction, and global importance of the Panama Canal. There is also an optional IMAX movie that tells the incredible story behind the canal’s creation. This stop offers spectacular views, great photo opportunities, and a close look at how global trade moves through Panama every day.
Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador)
The causeway is a road built using rocks that were excavated during the construction of the Panama Canal, and it connects the mainland to four small islands in the Pacific Ocean: Naos Island, Perico Island, Culebra Island, and Flamenco Island. As we drive along the causeway, travelers will enjoy spectacular views of the Panama City skyline, the Pacific Ocean, and ships waiting to enter the Panama Canal. It’s also one of the best spots in the city for photos. Here we can make a stop so guests can walk along the waterfront, visit souvenir shops, enjoy restaurants and cafés, and take pictures at the famous Panama Sign. The Amador Causeway is a perfect place to relax, enjoy the ocean breeze, and capture unforgettable views of Panama City
