  I did not go through a company. At the Manali Mall Road taxi stand near the statue, we found a driver who would take us to Solang Valley. We had passed through Kullu and had the impression it was crowded. He drove us to a paragliding team above Solang, where I saw a well-equipped operation, signed a release, and paid for a flight. The instructor drove a loaded small truck to the end of the road, where we met three female porters to carry the chute, harnesses, and helmets up. I had to climb an estimated 100 vertical meters to the launch point. This was the only strenuous part of the experience. The instructor harnessed me and offered me a video camera for an extra 15% of the price of the trip, which I agreed to. We harnessed up and he checked the lines and chute. At his signal, I ran down a dirt ram as hard as I could—there was more air resistance than I expected—and we were aloft. In the air, he adjusted my hold on the selfie stick, and we glided among forests, snowy peaks, and fields, until he told me to raise me feet for touchdown. He absorbed most of the impact. At the landing point, the team downloaded the video to my iPhone. It showed the flight was 6-7 minutes, but of course, the flight felt much longer. It was professional but intrepid, tough but, once in the air, relaxing.

If you're interested in paragliding in Kullu-Manali, you can contact a local paragliding operator or book a package through a tour operator. Before booking your flight, make sure to check the operator's credentials, safety record, and reviews from previous customers.   It's a thrilling experience, enjoyed very much. Initially the charges was told 3500 after bargaining came down to 2200 per person. Over all it's a good trip

  If you are really looking for fun in Manali, just go for the paragliding. It is super fun and which gets your adrenaline pumping up. I will surely suggest you to take the same from Mr. Vinay Sharma - Counter No. 0489 as he is a thorough professional who has won so many medals in the same and also trains para military as well for the same. They will take you to great height and will provide great experience in the same as his pilots are so well trained in the same with proper equipment. A true fun adventure sport for anyone visiting Manali.

  If you are able to do Paragliding in Manali take it. The best place to do in Himachal Pradesh is in Bir Billong. If you have taken a package tour and accordingly going in a taxi , As you come down from Manali towards Kullu, you would start seeing lot of shops offering Paragliding. Stop the car and start asking the rate.If you wait until you reach the place recommended by driver, then it would be very late. You would see prices as high as 5000 Rs for couple. I had taken a taxi from a traveller called KGN Travels. I find their drivers solely motivated by getting commision from these agents. Avoid this KGN Travels. You are expected to bargain. Hence bargain and get a good price
